I have a High School graduation party this weekend.  I wanted to incorporate the school emblem some how onto the card so using the front and inside flap of the graduation announcement I created this card.
This is the graduation announcement we received for the graduation.

I cut out the "Class of 2012" using a die cut, added the  hat, diploma,
ribbon and stars.  Stamped "The Tassels is worth the Hassle"
Inside of the card

Using a circle punch I punch the Roswell emblem and added black and silver paper.

I took the inside fold of the announcement and stamped "Congratulations" on the top.
I inserted the cash where the name card of the graduate was.
The "Centennial Graduates" was part of the announcement .

Behind the money I added a Scripture.
You have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for stopping by!!!

The Wedding shower for my niece on Sunday was so wonderful! My sister-in-law's out did themselves.  The presentation was gorgeous, flowers everywhere, beautiful center pieces and delicious food.  Fun was had by all!!  Here are a few things I made for the shower.

When I saw this cross at Hobby Lobby I just loved it.  I felt it needed
something, like pearls but when I saw the charms I knew that was it. So
I added the charms, pearls, flowers and ribbon.

These charms are just adorable!

This is the basket I decorated for her Wedding Wishes cards .

These are the utensils I shared back on May 23rd.  I arranged them
in a crystal basket with ribbon

Here is the card I made for Rachel.  I used a stamp set from SU for
the dress and saying. The green flowers with pearls are a punch.
The purple flowers in the corner are rub ons.

Inside the card. I used more rub ons.

Close up of the rub ons.  They are glitter rub ons and I added the pearls.
I will share pictures of the shower and the wedding pictures sometime at the end of July or August.  I don't want to take the excitement away from the bride and groom by sharing pictures before they do.  Hope your day is filled with sunshine!!

my loose section so not sure where I got it.

Ribbon and pearls were added.
A cream and green flower attached to the bottom.
She printed the wording in purple on her computer.

100 invites were made.

I added pearls to the flowers.

Together with my niece and sister-in-law
we  added all the final touches.
I was very honored to be able to make these for her.  Her wedding is in June so I will post a few pictures after the wedding.   Have a good weekend!!

I have been MIA. A lot has been going on. Life sometimes gives us a challenge and we have to stand up look it straight in the eye and say "I Can Do This"!!!  That is what my brother-in-law is doing now.  Thank you for all your prayers for Tyson.  He is doing remarkable better.  He is home now and doing out patient therapy twice a day.  He can take a few steps on his own but he has no balance as of yet. The therapist have him working in a swimming pool so if he falls he won't hurt himself.  He has a long road ahead of him but he is young, strong and has a very strong well to beat this!!  Please keep him in your prayers.

Over the weekend I hit the big mile stone in life by turning 50!! Since I have not been in my craft room for over a week I wanted to share the birthday card I received from Heather and a couple of pictures.  My husband and kids gave me a surprise birthday party.  It was wonderful!!  They BBQ on the grill, we had birthday cake and gifts it was a great night.  Turning 50 is not so bad after all........

I hope to be in my craft room today but God may have other plans for me today. During the summer months I will only be posting 3 times a week.   It's much to nice outside to be crafting inside.  Maybe I should craft on my patio???  That's a thought...  Have a wonderful week!!!!

Happy Mothers Day to you all!!!  God Bless you all for being such special Mothers!!! God has chosen this day to celebrate how special  Mothers truly are !!

He created Mothers with special talents.....

Loving arms and hands to hold and hug you to let you know everything is going to be okay.  Those same hands to swat you when you tested her last nerve and probably deserved it.

Having eyes  that looked at you with so much love and care. Then there was the look you got when you knew you were in trouble.....LOL  Mothers have that extra pair of eyes on the back of their head to just see everything...

Her Heart filled with LOVE, PRIDE, JOY, HAPPINESS....

The ability to say "NO" when we needed it the most... Of course we just thought she was being unfair and mean but it was her way of saying I LOVE YOU and I CARE!!

Thank you Mom for having a shoulder to cry on, for saying "NO", for loving me during my rebellion stage, for not telling Dad all the bad things I did when I was young. Thank you for creating a home not just a house.  Thank you for teaching me to be a good wife and Mother. Thank you for your prayers and all you do!!!

I Love you Mom!!

Hope you all have a wonderful day filled with all the loving childhood memories of your Mother.  Pamper yourself and enjoy your day.  God Bless!!

Tyson, my brother-in-law was moved from ICU to the VA hospital. He is doing so much better.  He has a long way to go but he will get there!! Thank you for all your prayers.  He has such a strong will  and such determination.  He told my sister I am here to take care of you and the baby and I am not going anywhere!  Not once has he ask "Why Me?" or had any kind of a pity party!!  Please keep them in your prayers.  Thank you so much!!
Behold, I am with you and I will protect you wherever you go, and bring you back to this land.  I will never leave you until I have done what I promised you.

I was not able to make Ladies Card night last night.  My brother-in-law (37 years old) had an aneurysm on his brain stem and had surgery on Tuesday.  The surgery it self was a success but yesterday he had a stroke.  When I left the hospital last night he had gotten back some of his mobility and speech, we will know more today.  Please keep him and my sister in your prayers!!

On the brighter side I want to wish each of you a Happy Mother's Day.  As Mother's day approaches it's nice to remember how special our Mother's, Grandmother's, Mother-in-Laws and all the wonderful women in our lives are.  Don't forget to pamper yourself because YOU are SPECIAL!!  God Bless you all!!!
Thanks for the prayers!!
I have the strength to face all conditions by the power that Christ gives me.

Today's card is made using a Rubbernecker saying and a SU stamp set.  A friend of mine was out garage sale shopping and came across a bag of stamp sets for $5.00. What a bargain!! Three of the sets were SU and had never been used.  It's a cute set from 2007 called "Very Punny".  It has a pig, bird, frog etc.  So I will be making some cards this week with my new/old stamps set.

Wishing you a day without wind and lots of crafting...

Monday, May 7, 2012

On Saturday I had a workshop using the Lucy's Workshop Package. The ladies did a wonderful job on their cards and of course we ate, we crafted and we ate again.  It was just a wonderful day of crafting fun. I wanted to let the ladies know how much I appreciation them coming each month so I dug into my recycle box and pulled out some of the plastic fruit containers.  I decorated them with paper, ribbon and add some goodies inside.   (to view the cards made on Saturday see my April 23rd blog posting)

The fruit containers.

These are decorated using the Lucy Workshop paper.

Inside the container.
I added a stamp set, ink dot & stickles.
All by Studio G.

This was made using scrape paper and a CTMH stamp set.

The flower was made using the EK Success punch.
These boxes are a fun quick way to package a small gift or goodies for that someone special.   Happy crafting this week!!!!  Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Friday to you!!  Yesterday I was looking through my paper and came across this beautiful paper. It has just a hint of peach color to it so I added the peach boarder and button.  I used two different stamp sets.  The saying is from rubbernecker and the house from Auntie Amy. The saying is:  Home is were love resides, memories are created, friends always belong, laughter never ends.  The Hen House is now selling rubbernecker stamps.  Go check them out!

This would made a great card for new home owner.
Have a good weekend and Happy Cinio de Mayo!
