Embossing Folder and Crayon

Hello Everyone.  I used the CS on the right to make today's card. As you can see there is a big difference in the colors from the picture I took before I made the card and after I made the card.  I took a picture of the embossed CS in my craft room when there was very little sunshine.  It's amazing how much Sunshine makes a difference in the colors when taking pictures.

I used die cuts and punches to make the embellishments.
I used scrap paper to make the card. Yeah.

Thank you for stopping by today. Happy Stamping to You!!

Embossing Folder and Crayon

Happy Tuesday to you! I saw this technique on Pinterest.  I am sure you all have seen it but it's new to me so I thought I would give it a try.  You take a piece of CS and emboss it with an embossing folder.  You then run crayon over the embossed CS, add ink and the waxy crayon shines through. It was a fun technique.  All this week I will share the cards I made using these four pieces card stock (CS).
The top left piece was the first one I did and you can
see I didn't use enough crayon.

For the  first card I used the green and orange CS on the left.

I am sending these cards to the OWH so I didn't use any 3-D or bling.
Instead I made my own embellishments with punches and paper.
Thank you for stopping by have a super great day!!

Just Ink!

Happy Friday to you. Today's cards are not one of my better creations. I almost didn't post them but then thought "What the heck they can't all be perfect".  LOL Besides, "Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder". What I think is some of my best work you may think Yuck!!!
I took white CS and added inks using a sponge.
Then I stamped different images and sayings to the cards.

This is how I came up with the card idea I did for OWH
posted  on May 20th. Which are MUCH better
then these cards!!! LOL

Inside of the cards.
Do you have any big plans for Memorial day weekend?  Don't forget to keep our brave soldiers and their families in your prayers.  Enjoy your weekend and be safe!

Butterfly Card

Good Morning. Hope your having a wonderful day! So how many of you will spend extra money to get FREE shipping or the FREE item a company is giving away?  A couple of weeks ago I went into the Hen House to buy some type I needed.  Charlene was runing a special if you bought $25.00 in product you received a 6x6 paper packet for free. So of course I couldn't pass up the FREE ($6.99) deal.  What should have been an $8.00 purchase ended being a $40.00 purchase. But I got some beautiful butterfly dies from Memory Box amoung other things.....hee hee.
The butterfly is make using two different dies.
The first die is the background of the butterfly
and the second is the top or overlay of the butterfly.
Of course Memory Box has several different over lays
so I purchased  two different ones. You can't have
to many butterfly overlays...LOL

Using my tape gun I added tape to the over lay to
attach it to the background butterfly.  I then added
the glitter. For the body of the butterfly I used the
Versamark and embossing power to make it shine.

The purple CS is embossed with butterflies.

Inside of the card.
So good luck the next time you see that FREE offer and have a super great day!!!

OWH

Happy Wednesday to you. Using four different stamps I made these cards for the OWH Heroes.
The stamp sets are from CTMH.

I added ribbon and punched out a flower.

Since we can't use glitter or large 3-D (bling) I punched
a piece of black CS for the middle of the flower. I add
Verismark and embossing powder to it.  Using the heat
gun it gave the center a shinny glow to it.

This is the first card I made and after I glued down the
yellow flowers I realized they had glitter on them.  So
I ended up making the other cards with the black ribbon.
The black ribbon looks MUCH better so my mistake
of using glitter flowers was a good one......LOL

Today tell your family you love them.  They truly are the greatest blessing.

Graduation

Here is the card I made for one of my nieces graduating from UNM here in Albuquerque.  She got her degree in Music so I thought I would incorporate some music into the card.
The music notes are die cuts and the hat is a sticker.

I punched out a black circle and attached the UNM
envelope sticker to make a embellishment.

The silver paper is stamped with a Music background stamp.
Thank you for stopping by today!  Have a awesome day!

Happy Monday to you. Hope you had a great weekend.  I am sharing some graduation cards I made.  I have a couple of college graduations this month.
I embossed some silver paper for the back ground of the card.

I stamped and cut out the embellishments.  The cap is a
store bought embellishment.

Inside the card
This is the other card I made using the same cuttings
and just changing the opening on the bottom of the card.

I added Owl embellishment to this one.
Hope you have an enjoyable week!

OWH

Good Morning everyone.  The weather has been crazy here in Albuquerque.  So cold  it's hard to believe it's May.  The last  few days I have been trying to stay warm by working in my craft room.  Sounds like a good excuse to  craft don't you think.....hee hee
Today's cards are for the OWH (Operation Write Home) heroes. I haven't sent any cards lately so I am going to make 100 cards to be mailed out by May 31st.
I am going to make multiples of the same card to reach
my 100 card goal.  OWH is in need of "Miss you"
and "Thinking of you" cards.

The giraffe "Long time no see" stamp is from Auntie Anne.
The "I miss you" is a CTMH stamp.

I used Prisma color pencils to color in the giraffe.
Sending you happy thoughts and sunshine.  Enjoy your day!

Wine bottle cover

Happy Wednesday everyone.  Hope your having a super great day so far!  This is the invite we received for the 60th birthday party.  I used it to make a wine bottle cover as a gift.
The invitation measured 5x7 so I had to cut it down to
fit the wine bottle.  I really liked the decorated edges
and hated to cut them off but I had no choice.  So I
went back and cut out the detailed edges and glued
them back onto the cover.  I added a green, red and
black boarder around the invite to add  more color.

This is the finished bottle cover.

Bill is in a band and plays guitar. He also  loves
to ride bikes so I decided to add these charms.
Can you see in the right hand corner how I added
the cut out edges?

I didn't have anything left from the invite for the top of
the cover, so using distress inks I colored and stamped
a piece of CS to match the invite.

At the last minute I added Bill's name to the bottom. LOL
Hope you enjoy your day!
