Music Invites

Hello everyone.  Today I am sharing an invitation I made for my niece Katrina. My sister-in-law Pauline asked if I would could make invitations for Katrina's college Senior Clarinet recital and of course I said yes. Katrina loves birds and music so I put together a card with both and this is what we came up with.
Here is all the cuttings for the invitations. Doesn't look
like much does it?

A close up of each piece.

Here is my work table adding the branches to the white CS.

I cut the branch in half and used it on two invites so some of
them have the bird on the right and the others on the left.

This is the original note card I made and posted on 4/14/2014.
Looks much better with the blue bird.

My niece printed the information on the inside of the white CS.

Katrina wanted to insert her  picture, so using a music
punch I added a strip at the top inside panel.
You have a awesome day!  Happy Stamping!

Pocket Album

Today I am sharing another 6-pocket mini album with you.  I used an 8x8 paper packet from "My Minds Eye".  I bought this many moons ago at Hobby Lobby.  It was sitting in my closet just waiting to be used.

Front cover with a pull out pocket.

The inside panels with the four pockets.

All the tags pulled out. You can't tell by the
pictures  but this paper is covered
in glitter,
shimmer and embossed.

Inside without the tags.

The back side.
So this was suppose to be the front pocket, but I glued the
paper with the inside pockets upside down....EEEEEEEE
So I made it the back cover even though the paper
is upside down. (this picture is with it right side up)
(Here you see it up side down the way I left it)
Can you tell it's upside down?  I was just sick when
I did that.....Oh well.  it worked out okay.....
Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!!!

6-Pocket card/album

Happy Monday to you! I have been working on making a mini photo album.  It's a lot of work but I am enjoying making it.  I have been viewing You Tube videos to get ideas for my album.  Of course I get distracted with other crafting videos, so not sure when the mini album will be done...hee hee. I found this video "6-Pocket Insert Mini Album"  from Papercrafter 45 YouTube.  I decided to make it as a baby shower card/gift for my daughters friend who is having a baby in June.
The paper packet is from KC & Company "Itsy Bitsy.
It's really pretty baby paper. I've made several

cards with this paper packet.

These are die cuts and punches.

The cover has a pocket you pull out to add a baby picture.

The inside has four pockets with tags.

Here are the tags pulled out of the pockets.
You can add pictures or journal on the tags. The tag
on the left has a place to write name, weight etc.

Inside without the tags.

Back side with a pull out tag for another picture.

Sending you sunshine and smiles today.  Have a good week!

Happy Birthday Debbie

Happy Friday to you. Today's posting is a birthday pocket pull-out card I made for Debbie. She is one of  the beautiful and creative ladies from our Wednesday ladies card night. Her birthday was April 19th.  Happy Birthday Debbie.
I got this paper packet at Michael's craft store.  It was
the last one left.  It's has the most beautiful paper

inside. I would have bought two packets if they had it.

I added the "For You" along with the flowers, pearls
on the butterfly and some glitter on the blue part of the paper.

This is the inside of the pull-out pocket.

Hope you had a wonderful birthday Debbie.  God Bless you!

Memory Letter Album

Good Morning!  Today is a long posting.  Get your coffee or tea and relax. As I mentioned on Monday, my Mom turned 70 on Sunday.  As a gift to my Mom I had all of the family and friends write a letter with a memory/birthday wish.  I wanted to put them into something that she could cherish for years to come and something she could pass on to us five girls.  I bought this chip board photo album at Micheal's a few months ago because I was going to make one of the amazing photo books Debbie makes. Of course I never did so I am using it for my Mom's letters.
Inside of the photo book.

Outside standing up.

I picked a very colorful and crazy pattern paper packet
to cover and decorate the album.

Finished outside cover.

Finished album standing up.

The first inside page.

The right side is a pocket.  I printed out all the letters on
colored paper since most letters I received through my email.

This page has a flap on the left you open to insert the letter
(see picture below) On the right side the mailed letter
is inserted at the top.

Here we have a flip up pocket on the left and a
pull out tab on the right.

I punched flowers and added bling to this panel.

The saying on the left says: Home is where your story begins.
I used stickers through out the album to add wording.
I should have stamped sayings on the paper before gluing
them down.  A lesson learned for the next book.

The right side has a flap with a letter inserted inside.

This panel has a double flip pocket so I was able to insert
four letters here.  Three which are hand written.
People just don't mail and write letters anymore.
 Including me...hee hee

Two flip up flaps with pockets.

When I took this picture I had not received all the letters yet.
Two letters will be inserted here.

This is the last page.  I added two pull out tags and
inserted two memories here. The last page I left blank
waiting for the additional letters.

Back of the book.
You made it through the long posting!!  My Mom loved the book and letters very much.  My sisters and I decided we will write and add a new letter for my Mom's birthday each year from now on.  Have a super great day!
