Baptism

Welcome to my blog!! I am sharing a baptism card using lace and blue accents today.
I used embossing folders for the white backgrounds of the card.
I added blue CS to added color and attached white lace.
The cross above is from Michael's.

Inside of the card I added lace and ribbon.  The cross was
stamped and then embossed with blue embossing powder.
I cut it out and attached it with pop up adhesives.

The stamp set I used is from SU.

Happy Birthday Stephanie

Today is my daughter's 23rd birthday.  She is going to spend the day with her parents  going to the movies, having cake and ice cream. (Yeah) We will end the day having dinner with her brothers.  You are probably wondering why I don't have a birthday card to show you but those of you who know my daughter know that she has this contagious laugh.  When she laughs everyone laughs so I thought this card Live. Laugh. Love is perfect to celebrate her birthday.

Using the die cut from Memory Box I cut four of the Madera's.
I glued them onto the black CS forming a circle.

I stamped the Live Laugh Love with the CTMH stamp set "LOVE LIFE"
Then embossed with white embossing powder.

I sprayed the card with a shimmer mist to add sparkle.

I layered the center with embellishments from KC and Company.
Sending you a sweet day filled with birthday cake and ice cream!!!

Burlap Ribbon

Early yesterday morning if you were on your way to work or school you probably saw the beautiful sunrise in Albuquerque, it was so breathtaking.  Whenever I see a sunrise that beautiful I always thank God for the wonderful gifts in my life and just know it's going to be a fabulous day!
I am working on baptism/religious cards now so here is one of the cards I made.
I saw this ribbon at Michael's and thought it looked like burlap.
It was in the Christmas clearance rack at 90% off. Yeah!!

I wrapped the ribbon around gold CS and attached it the the  brown  CS.
Using gold embossing powder I stamped the saying and
 inked
the edges of the blue CS with a liquid gold marker.

I still can't find my crosses in my messy work room so I had
to buy a package at Michael's.
Hope your day is filled with the beautiful colors of a sunrise.  God Bless!

Music Money Tree

My niece turned 20 on Sunday and she is a very talented musician.  She plays the flute so beautifully!  She also plays the drums and guitar.  I decided to make her a music money tree for her birthday.
This is what the tree looked like before I added the  money.

I used small straight pins and some glue to attach the ribbon to the
Styrofoam tree.  I get my Styrofoam trees form the Dollar Tree store.

This topper is a Christmas decoration  I got at Walmart.  I
added the music notes and some black ribbon.

Here is the tree with the money fans on it.

I used paper clips to attach the money and added a ribbon at the end.
I hope you have a musical day!!

Love you SEW much

I saw this cute card on  Fiskars.com titled Thanks SEW much!. It was made in the shape of a spool of thread.  It was so darn cute I just had to make one. My card is more of a Valentine or I just love you card.

Using  CTMH Tailor-Made stamp set I stamped the dress and
saying and cut them out.  I wrapped red embroidery floss around
the red CS and attached it to the card.  Cutting two brown pieces
of CS I rounded the ends and glued them to the card.

Does it look like a spool of thread?

I thank you SEW much for stopping by today!!!!

Lots of Glitter

The wonderful thing I love about crafting is you never know what you will end up with.  Sometimes your mistakes end up being your best projects and sometimes your worst. LOL   My niece is baptizing her son in February so I thought I would make a layered white card with crosses and a touch of blue ink.  That is not what I ending up creating.....hee hee
I used die cuts and embossing folders for all the layers.  Taking the ink
pad I ran it over the top of each layer.  Only the embossed part of the CS
was inked  blue leaving behind the white base.
Using Foam strips I attached all the layers together.  This is when I went looking for my
3D crosses to add to the top of the card.  Couldn't find them!!  Ugggh!!!  (I really need to
clean out my crafting room!!) So I came across these Martha Stewart felt flowers and decided
to use them instead turning the card into a birthday card.

So this is where all the glitter came into play.  I attached the silver clips with lots of clear glue.
When  it dried it left a noticeable shinny glow under the clips.  So not sure what to do with the shinny parts I saw the Mod Podge on my table and used it. I took a paint brush and covered the card in Mod Podge and sprinkled glitter over the whole card.  It came out beautiful.  I would have never thought to use Mod Podge and glitter on my cards.

Inside of the card I also used the Mod Podge and glitter.

Felt flowers from Martha Stewart.

I hope your week is filled with shinny glitter smiles and heart felt flowers...

Birdie Card

Happy Friday to you.  I am sharing a birdie card with you today.  I saw these bird stickers and thought they were pretty cool looking.  They are made of crate paper by Martha Stewart.

I don't have a punch or die-cut  for a branch but I do have a Sizzix
Tree die-cut so I used the tree trunk as the branch. Using a Martha
Stewart leaf punch I added brown and green leaves.

The paper is from CTMH. On the solid blue CS I scored the lines
and used a sanding block to bring out the white core of the paper.

Inside the card I used CTMH Life is Tweet stamp set.
Hope you have a Tweet weekend!!

Birthday Cake

Here is another Birthday card for my January Birthdays. I used the Sizzix die cut
Birthday Cake to make today's card.
I cut the base of the cake out of two different colors of pink CS and
layered them on top of each other.  The candles are cut from shinny blue
paper and yellow CS for the flames.  I added glitter to the flames.

I used a swirl embossing folder  for the background of the card.

After applying  Liquid Applique and glitter  to outline the cake,  I
used the embossing  heat gun to give the white outline a puffy look.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Hope you have a super great day today!

Cozy Cat

Happy snow day to you!!  Yesterday Albuquerque schools and some businesses had a 2 hour delay due to the snow and icy roads.  Those who have moved to Albuquerque from the winter states laugh at us because by noon the snow is all melted and the sun is shinning. LOL  I hope you all had a safe and warm day yesterday.  Today's card is made using the stamp set Cozy Cat from CTMH.  This stamp set will be in the new catalog next month.

The window is from Memory Box and the paper is CTMH.
I used Prismacolor pencils to color the cat.

I added vellum paper with stamped leaves behind the window.
Using CS and the score pal I added a wood like panel across
the card to give it a look of wall paper inside the house.

This stamp set comes with three sayings:
You're the cat's meow.
Your're purr-fect.
and the one above.

Inside of the card.
Hope you have a warm and cozy day.  Stay warm!!

Fuchsia Sprig

Hello everyone.  Hope your having a good day so far.
On today's card I used a black CS as the base of the card.  I started out doing an all
white and black card but decided to give the card some color.
The white oval is a die cut from Spellbinder- Floral Ovals.
The center flower is from Memory Box, the Fuchsia Sprig.
Behind the red roses I added the Madera Corner and
some punched stems.

Inside of the card.

Close up of the Spring.  I used red and yellow glitter CS for the flower.

The butterfly is punched from blue glitter paper.
Sending you warm wishes for a wonderful day!
