Last day of 2012

Hello everyone!! Happy Monday to you.  Albuquerque has snow this morning.  What a great way to end the 2012 year.  Hope the last day of 2012 finds you well!!  It's hard to believe another year has gone by.  Time sure files as you get older. LOL  I would like to THANK each one of you for spending time viewing my blog this year.  I so enjoy posting my crafts with you.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

Today's card is a birthday card I made using embossing folders, ribbon and die cuts.
The pink flowers are from CTMH designer ribbon collection.
The card is embossed using the Cuttlebug scalloped edge folder.
Using a CTMH stamp I stamped the Happy Birthday on a Spellbinder
Floral Oval.

I touched up the card with glitter to add some shine.

Inside of the card I used a ribbon I got from Bessie Lace store.
Then I added a line of glitter using my tape gun.

I hope you have fun bringing in the New Year!  Be safe and enjoy your day!!

Good Morning, Hope you all had a very special Christmas this year.  I had a wonderful Christmas season. Family gatherings, lunch with friends and way to much food!!!  I still have a few things from Christmas that I haven't shared with you. So here are some candle jars my daughter Stephanie and I made together.

The candles are from Michael's.
The gold paper is the wrapping paper from Walmart.
Did you go buy some?  It really is great to craft with.

The wreath and mittens are from SU.
The red ribbon behind the embellishment is from Hobby Lobby.

The poinsettia is a packet from one Michael's.

Here they are wrapped and ready to be given away.

This was a fun project to do with my daughter.  She is done with college and it's so nice to have her home again!!!  Wishing you a relaxing day.  Thank you for sharing your time with me.

Christmas Eve

Happy Christmas Eve.  I would like to share with you the cards I received from my crafting friends.  May this Christmas Eve being you LOVE-PEACE-JOY with family and friends.
This card was made by Debbie.  She stamped, inked, distressed the
entire card.  I wish you could see it in person it's so beautiful

The tree has sparkling snow and the star is shinning with glitter.
Great job Debbie.

Dee made this card.  The embossing is just perfect.
I just love the paper and those trees.

The added gold glitter really makes the trees stand out.
Wonderful job Dee.

This card was made my Marie.  He is just an adorable  snowman.
This was a card kit ready to put together.  What a great way to make
your cards.  Good job Marie.

This is my card.  I inked and embossed all the images.  I added
flock to the top of the stable and attached it to the gold glitter paper.

The Magic of Christmas never ends and its greatest of gifts are family and friends.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Christmas Potluck

Last week I had a Christmas party at my house with all the wonderful ladies from my TOPS group. We had such a great time.  We ate, played games and exchanged gifts.
This is the veggie tray I made.

We have lots of good cooks.  One of the ladies said that is why we
belong to a TOPS weight loss group because we are such great cooks...LOL

Here the ladies are playing the reindeer game. We split up into 3 groups
and each group had a bag of balloons and a pair of pantyhose. They had to
blow up the balloons and fill the legs of the hose to make reindeer antlers.
You just had to be here to see this.  It was SO MUCH FUN!!

Wishing you a Happy and safe Holiday.  God Bless

Hope your having a good day so far!  This is a card I designed last year using a CTMH stamp set.
The tree is stamped once onto the cream CS and a second time onto the
green pattern paper.  The pattern stamped tree is cut out and attached
to the cream CS using foam tape to give it a 3-D look.

Bling was added  to the tree along with a white star.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas.  Hope you enjoy your time with friends and family.
Jesus is the Reason for the Season.

Tamales

Every year for Christmas my sisters and I make tamales.  Its an all day affair and even though it's a lot of work it's being with my sisters that makes it so much fun! We made 22 dozen this year.  We used one whole gunny sack of red Chile pods, 25lbs of pork, 35lbs of masa and lots corn husks.
This is a pressure cooker my Mother-in-law lends me to cook
the tamales in.  It's very old but in great
shape and cooks the tamales just perfect.

My sister's Cheryl, Jovonna and Renee busy making the tamales.

Here I am quality control...hee hee

Tamale being made.

Made tamales before they are cooked.

In the pressure cooker ready to be cooked
I wish I could send you all a tamale to taste!!  Have a super great day!!

Snowman card

Today I am sharing the Christmas card I made for this 2012 Christmas season.
The family picture was taken in November for my Husband's 50th  birthday
celebration.  The snowman is a CTMH stamp set which I colored, glittered
and added the Merry Christmas.  Using a punch I cut out the snow flakes
from glitter wrapping paper and attached them to the card.

This part of the card flips open and I stamped a Christmas sentiment inside.

Thank you for sharing your precious time with me this week.  Have a Happy Snowman of a day!

Hello Kitty Money Tree

My niece turned Sweet 16 this weekend.  She loves anything to do with Hello Kitty. I decided to make her a Hello Kitty money tree.  I used a Styrofoam shaped Christmas tree and glued white yarn onto it.

I added pink ribbon and colored straight pins.  I took dollar bills and folded them into a fan. Using a paper clip I clipped the bottom of the bills and inserted them into the Styrofoam tree. I then attached Hello Kitty stickers to the other end of the paper clip. The top of the tree is a plastic ornament from Target's dollar bin.
Back of the tree

Close up of the money and stickers.

I am sure it will be a busy holiday week this week.  You will probably be wrapping, baking and cooking.  Hope you don't work to hard and have a super good week!!

Santa-tizers

I've created many different themes of the hand sanitizers but never Christmas.  I found these on Kerry's blog and just had to make them.  They were so much fun.
I used the Walmart Christmas red & gold wrapping paper and
black CS to cover these.

I put them into plastic bags and added the "SANTA-TIZER tag.

The tags were made using scallop and circle punch.  I printed the
saying on my computer.
Today my sisters are coming over so we can make tamales.  It's a lot of work but with all of us together it makes it fun.  Hope you have a Ho Ho of a day.  God Bless

Popcorn

Today I am sharing some popcorn snowmen with you.  I found these on one of my favorite websites:  kerryspapercrafts.com.  I made them for the ladies at my TOPS group.  They really enjoyed them.
The snowman face is a free download from whimsidedoodles.com
I colored them in and attached them to microwave popcorn.
I made the hats using fleece material.

Using glue dots I added the buttons.
I just love snowmen.  They just always bring a smile to my face. Enjoy your day.

Hello Kitty

Happy Monday to you!!!
My daughter Stephanie wanted to give her roommate a little something for Christmas.  Her roommate loves Hello Kitty so I made these Post-It-Notes and tag for her.
The paper is the wrapping paper from Walmart.
The Hello Kitty's are stickers from the dollar bin at Target.

I stamped snowflakes and the Merry Christmas. I distressed
the edges with blue ink and attached the Hello Kitty sticker.
I added the Santa hat to make her more festive.

Close up of Hello Kitty.
Hope you have a warm and cozy week!!  Thanks visiting my blog!!

Magic of Christmas

This Christmas card was made using the CTMH Pear & Partridge paper, Cuttlebug die cuts and CTMH Christmas Love stamp set.

Do you like the paper?  It's just a gorgeous paper packet.

I used the scallop and circle punch, then attached the die cuts .
 They are so darn cute.
Hope you have a magical day today!!  Thank you for stopping by!
