Hope you are having a good day so far.  May your weekend be filled with Sunshine and Love....

Today's card is made using CTMH Sonoma Paper. One of my favorite paper packets.
The leaf punch is from EK Success and the green swirls are from Sizzix die.
The flower is from a garage sale.
I bought a gallon size bag of flowers for .50 cents.
I just love to find great buys for craft items.

Happy Friday!!
Wow it's the last weekend of February already.   Time sure flies when your not looking...
Only 304 shopping days before Christmas.....ha ha

Today I'm sharing Easter cards. I just skipped right over St. Patrick's day and went right into Easter.

I colored using my Prismacolor pencils and Turpenoid.
Using purple and blue I distressed around the bunny.
The stamp set is from CTMH "Sensational Season".
You can't tell by the picture but  the "Happy Easter" sign is popped.

Here I added CTMH Glitz Glitter Gel to the butterflies to really made them shine.
The stamp is from Stamp'N Up.
Thanks for looking and have a WONDERFUL weekend!!

Yesterday was a busy day for me so as you all know I didn't post to my blog.  Today I have our "Wednesday Ladies Card Night".   We had so much fun crafting and laughing.
My sister Renee has joined our card night so we have 5 cards to share with you.

  Renee's card.
It's a Tim Holtz  Die -Caged Bird.
The paper is just gorgeous.  Its from Michael's craft store.

Marti's Card.
We colored in the flowers using Stamp'n Up markers just enough
to leave them as white daisies.
I love the daisy stamp, it's from Rubbernecker.

Debbie's card.
How cute is that radio? We punched the notes using a dollar
 punch from Micheal's.

Inside Debbie's card.

Heather's Card.
The card is cut from a spellbinder and the rest is all from punches.
What great paper!

Inside Heather's card.

Denita's Card.
The arrows are made of metal from CTMH.

Inside Denita's card.
I used a line punch for the cupcakes and colored in the cherry on top.
Sending you a cheerful day!! Thanks for stopping by....

Today I am sharing a sympathy card I made.  My neighbor Heather lost her Father in November and it's really been hard on her.  She was so good to him.  She picked him up 6 days a week and spent every Saturday with him. She already has a staircase to heaven in my eyes.

I used CTMH stamp sets: Treasure Life  D1306 & Card Chatter-Sympathy D1476
The background is a Sizzix embossing folder inked with olive green and sunset.
Treasure Life...We need to do more of that each day...We are here for you Heather and love you very much!!

Happy Presidents Day to you.
Hope you are home relaxing and crafting all day today.
On Saturday I  attended a CTMH Stamp Club hosted by my cousin Karen.
You can visit her blog at: stamphappywithkaren.blogspot.com

It was so much fun.  Of course it included food so we did my two most favorite things......Eat and Craft!!!
Here are the items we made.

This is one of my favorite paper packets from CTMH.
Sonoma, it can be found on page 63 in the  catalog.

Inside of the card

This is a Tag. It was cut using the  CTMH Cricut Cartridge.
The cartridge has 700 images: font, shapes and 3-D items. (see page 13)

Inside we put mini "Post it Notes".
I will be making these to sell at my craft fairs this year.
They will make great co-worker  gifts or party favors.

This is a Picture box we made.

Top of the lid.
We stamped the rose from the "Card Word Puzzle" stamp set (pg 23)
and added  CTMH liquid glass for a 3-D effect.

Inside the box when you remove the lid

WOW!!   Here is the box when you open it.  Great huh?
You can now go in and add photos and notes.
This would make a great Mother's or Father's day gift.
You could decorate it for any occasion.
Thank you Karen for inviting me to your stamp club and all your wonderful craft ideas.  Enjoy your Holiday everyone!  You can Click on "Shop with me" to view the catalog.  If you would like a catalog the cost is $2.00 but if you place an order you will receive a FREE catalog.  You can email me at:  djparra7@aol.com or call me 505-934-2504.  Thanks!

I love using the old characters from Rubbernecker.  My husbands says it's because this year I will be reaching the top of hill about to step over...hee hee He is right behind me!!

I combined this character with the CTMH "Just Numbers"  set.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.

Outside reads:  You know you're getting older when....

Inside reads:   the candles cost more than the cake!

I popped the hills so she is standing in between them.

Inside reads:  I don't remember any hill.

Make sure you check back tomorrow as I will be sharing the projects my cousin Karen did at her Stamp Club yesterday.  You are going to love them...  Have a Blessed day!

Happy Saturday to you all.
For those of you who were asking and wondering what happen to our Wednesday Ladies Card Night we didn't meet. We will get together next
week so I will post our cards next Thursday.  Thanks for asking!
I have been  having fun working with my Fashionista stamp set.  Here are a couple of cards I made.

Making this card was like playing with paper dolls again.
After stamping the three ladies in chocolate ink I stamped the images
a second  time in colored ink on scrape paper. Trimmed out the skirts and
purses and adhered them  with liquid adhesive to the card.  It's a really fun card.

Here I used the Fashionista Stamp set along with the
 CTMH "Just a Number"  sentiments.

Here is what the inside looks like.
I used a stamp from "Rubbernecker" stamp co.
See page 110 of the CTHM catalog to read all the sentiments
for the  "Just a Number" stamp set.

Enjoy your weekend.

Today I am sharing with you what I do with my plastic fruit containers.  These make wonderful gift boxes with cards or candy even microwave popcorn. You cover the tops and inside the lid.  Add some tinsel, shredded paper etc. Pop in your goodies or cards, add a bow, a tag and your good to go.

Strawberries, blueberries and mix fruit containers.

These are the 6 thank you cards I made to put into the box.
They measure 3x4.

Inside the plastic container.

Finished box.
FYI: The envelopes I used for the thank you cards are from last years Valentines day.  The stores always have left over kids boxed Valentines cards.  Buy them at 50% - 90% off and you have yourself envelopes and your kids/grand kids have valentines to cut up and craft with.   It's a great savings on envelopes.   Have a safe and happy weekend!!

Hello, Hope your having a good day so far!!  Today I have covered some plain white boxes.  For those of you who have to buy female hygiene products.  You all know how expensive they are.  Here is an idea to get more for your money.  Have you ever noticed inside the tampon boxes there are 2 separate boxes?  They are two different sizes and the great thing about them they are plain white and ready to use.

It's the white box inside the gravy box.

They make wonderful bags for gifts or you can  add
bagged candy or pop corn etc.

The larger box measures 4 X 5 1/2.

The smaller box measures 3 X 5 1/2.

Start saving your boxes ladies....  Have a GREAT day!!

Wednesday, February 15, 2012

I am big on recycling.  I save jars, boxes, containers with high hopes of using them to create gifts and useful holders.  So I dug into my closet and pulled out some of those containers.  Here is what I have done so far.

These are a few of the things I pulled out. baby food jars,
plastic frosting  cups, glass candle jar etc

This is a cardboard holder for gravy packets.  I got it at Walmart.   I know you probably think I'm crazy but I am also thrifty.  Walmart gives all their boxes away for free.  You do need to make sure they are empty first.  hee hee
I sell book markers at craft fairs and didn't have a holder for them.  When I saw this I thought it would be perfect for them.

So would you have guessed this was a gravy packet holder?  So the next time you
go grocery shopping look for more than just groceries.

Now I am all set for the next craft fair.

I sale my book markers for $1.00 to $3.00 each.
I can also do  special orders or themes.
FYI: In the ironing board area (at Walmart) they have the same style box (ironing board cover box) just a larger size.  A few years back I covered it the same way, added cards, gift boxes, tissue paper and wrapping paper.  It made great gift.  Check back tomorrow to see what else I have done....
Be safe today with the snow.....

Happy Valentines Day.  May you all have a day filled with Love and Happiness.  Always know that you are special just the way your are!!!  You don't need Valentines day to say I LOVE YOU to let those you care about. Take everyday as an opportunity to say I LOVE YOU!  Just a smile at a stranger can make all the difference in someones life.  It's all the little things we do that matter.

We can do no great things
only small things with great love
                                                                                   Mother Teresa

Just received this new stamp set.  I just love it.
I will be using this stamp set a lot.
I promise not to get so sentimental in the future..LOL

You can find this stamp set on page 17 of the catalog.
D1504  Fashionista $17.95  plus S&H
Sending you Hugs and Kisses. God made you all unique and special and I love you just the way your are!!!

I have been working on a lot of Valentine stuff lately.  The funny thing is I wasn't going to make anything for Valentine's this year.  I was going to work on Christmas Cards the month of Jan. & Feb.  Ha ha that didn't happen.  So this is the last of my Valentines.

I covered the candies with red embossed paper then
added heart embellishments.

Here are some Valentine Tic-Tac holders.
