School Days

Happy Monday to you! First day of school is just a few weeks away. I wanted to make cards for my grandkids to celebrate their first day of school. I was inspired by a crayon card I saw on Pinterest. The card had six crayons across it with google eyes. I wanted just one crayon as a card.  I found a coloring page of crayons and printed them on colored paper.

I folded the paper and hand cut out the crayon.
I picked the kid's favorite colors and added the
eyes and their names.

So darn cute!

Inside of the youngest boys since they
are not going to school but they have
to have what all the other kids get. (smiling)

This card is for my daughter-in-law who
graduated in May. Yes I am that far behind
on cards!

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer!

Crafting fun with my grandson

Happy Monday morning! Hope your enjoying your summer. It's coming to an end way to fast. I didn't really make any cards this week except with my grandson Joaquin. He just loves to be in the craft room and use inks, makers and lots of glitter. He made a couple of cards I'm sharing with you today.
All by himself he used the ink and brush
to add the sky and dirt to his card. He stamped
the trees and I helped him with the saying.
He stamped the camper and we used a
die cut and attached it to the card.

He is so proud of what he does.
I just love it.

He saw a hamburger card and asked if
he could make one. I put this one
together as a sample for him.
Bad grandma, I didn't get a picture
of his card. (sad face)

Here he is just inking away. He really
got a kick out of making the chips too.

Seeing all the ideas he has and what he wants to make is so much fun! Sending you well wishes and smiles!

Homemade birthday cards

Happy Monday! I'm finally showing off my homemade cards I received for my birthday back in May.

My sister-in-law Pauline made this
beautiful card. The gold leaf backing
was also lined inside the card. Wish
you could see this in person, it's stunning!
Thank you Pauline!

This card was made by Debbie, one
of my crafting friends. I miss you Debbie!
I love the saying "Enjoy the Moment"
and the image is just perfect. I have to
take this advice in my busy life!
Thank you Debbie!

Here is Heather's card. So beautiful. I love
to garden and I love flowers so she knows
me well! What a perfect card, I love it!
Thank you Heather!

This one filled my heart with love and joy. My
granddaughter Tessa drew her and I as queens.

Thank you all for making my birthday special. I'm blessed to have such caring and loving women in my life! God Bless you all.

Bat Mitzvah

Happy 4th of July!! My great niece was making her Bat Mitzvah. To be honest I didn't even know until now that there was a Bar (boys) and  Bat (girls) Mitzvah.  I enjoyed learning about the ritual of young people excepting the Jewish Faith. I wasn't planning on making a card but I couldn't find one in the store for a Bat Mitzvah. Of course I'm at the last minute these days....(smiling)

I blended yellow inks for the
background. Stamped the tree (CTMH)
as a symbol of the Tree of Life.
I printed the "Bat Mitzvah" on
my computer and added the flowers
and butterflies.
