Christmas Card

Happy New Years Eve!  Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with  family and friends.
I received some beautiful handmade cards for Christmas.  This card was made by Debbie from our crafting group.  The card is just breath taking.  It has glitter that sparkles all over the card.
The background is embossed with snow flakes
and sprinkled with glitter.

The window frame has a glass window in it.
(acetate sheets)

Love the holly berry and the banner.

Can you see the sparkle on the tree?
Fabulous card Debbie!!! Thank you so much!!

Happy Friday to you all!  Hope you had the BEST Christmas ever!!!
I've been so busy with Christmas its been awhile since I have been in my craft room. I don't have anything crafty to show you so here are some pictures of a trip my husband James and I took for our wedding anniversay.   We went to Carlsbad NM to visit the caverns and The Christmas on the Pecos.
We took a night tour of the caverns.  All the lights are turned
off inside the caves and you get one candle and this lantern
for the two hour tour.  It was excellent!!

This is James and I the next day.
We toured the caverns in the day light this time.

This is a picture inside the caverns. I don't have a good
camera so most of the pictures came out to dark to share.
That evening we took a boat on the Pecos river to see
all the houses along the river decorated in lights.  It
was beautiful.  The night was perfect not to cold..
We then drove to Ruidoso NM to the Inn of
the Moutain of Gods.  It was so pretty there.
Do you see the lake, moutains and golf course
in the background?

This is a life size gingerbread house made out of real
gingerbread cookies. It was located in the Hotel lobby.
WOW!   See the cookies  below?  That is a lot of
work!! It was so cool!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

Let Every Day Be Christmas
by Norman Wesley Brooks

Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others is good you do yourself.

Peace on Earth, good will to men,
kind thoughts and words of cheer,
are things we should use often
and not just once a year.

Remember too the Christ-child, grew up to be a man;
to hide him in a cradle, is not our dear Lord's plan.
So keep the Christmas spirit, share it with others far and near,
from the week to week and month to month, throughout the entire year.

Sending you Christmas blessings and hopes that each of you will love everyday as it were Christmas!
Blessing to you and your family!

Happy Christmas Eve to everyone!!
I received this card from Deedee one of the ladies from our crafting group.
The paper looks like leather.  It's really cool.

What a pretty snow flake. Dee sewed around all the
edges  of the card.  I really need to learn to use my
sewing machine.  I would love to do this to my cards.

Inside the card she attached a great family picture.
 Thank you Dee.

This is her famous stamp she uses on the backs
of her cards.  I just love it!
Hope you enjoy your Christmas Eve. God Bless.  Jesus is the Reason for the Seaosn!!

Christmas Card

Today I am sharing a handmade card I got from Marie.  She is one of the ladies from our crafting group.
This is such a pretty card.  She used a punch
to add red shinny paper to accent the corners.

Don't you just love the red knots she added to the ribbon
and the beautiful Christmas scene?

Great card Marie.  Thank you so much!  Have a awesome day today!

Christmas Cards

Today's card is done is blues and reds with some embossed white ink.
A lady at Church was wearing a blue shirt with white tree branches
and red birds fling towards the tree.  It inspired me to make these cards.
I am not very good at using white ink embossed on
colored CS but I thought I would give it a try.

This card I sprayed liquid glue on the tree and ground
and sprinkled glitter onto the glue.

For those of you braving the Mall's and Store's out there this weekend Best of Luck out there!!  Have a super great weekend!!

Snowman Card

Hello. Hope your having a wonderful Season Holiday today.  Today I'm sharing a cute little snowman card.
I used a die cut to cut out the oval background for the snowman.

The snowman and snowflakes are stickers.

When I embossed the red CS it left some white edges
on the snowflakes for the background.
Hope you enjoy your day today! Thanks for stopping by!

Glowing Lights

Happy Tuesday to you all.  Today I want to share a technique I saw on Splitcoaststampers.com.  It's called Glowing Lights by Lydia Fiedler.

The tree stamp is from CTMH.

I stamped the tree on dark CS.  Using a white gel pen
I added white dots on the tree.  With a cotton swab add
chalk with a circular motion to the white dots.
You now have
glowing lights.

The tree on the left  is what the dots look like before you
 color them with chalk.
You can hop on over to Splitcoaststampers.com. to see her step by step instructions.  Have a super great day!

Birthday Card

Happy Monday to you!!    Did you see the Barn invitation my niece made for her son Eli's birthday?  I posted it on December 5th. If you didn't see it please scroll down and take a peek.  It's super cute.
This is the birthday card I made for Eli's first birthday.
I wanted to stay with the Barn and animal theme of the party.
I came across this barn embellishment and decide to use
 it for the card.

Since the embellishment opens as a card I only made
the front part of my card. You can see the back of the card below.

I can't find my  "made by" stamp I use for my cards.
Must have thrown it a way.....I hope it turns up.
Enjoy your week!

Butterflies

It's Friday!  Are you ready for the weekend Christmas rush?  Hope you can stay home and do some crafting and baking this weekend.   Today I am sharing a card I made using the same butterfly paper as I used for one of the ornament money holders.
I wish you could see the  glossy embossed butterflies
this paper has stamped over it.  It's beautiful. I stamped
and die cut the butterflies then added  liquid glass to the
  edges  to match the paper.

No matter what you have planned for this weekend make sure you smile wherever you go.  You will bring happiness to others and to yourself.  God Bless.

Ornament money holders

Happy Thursday to you! I started playing with some of my Christmas die cuts and ended up with these money holder ornaments.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.
Using a Spellbinder die cut, I cut out three ornaments for each
money holder. I used one for the back, one for the front and
I cut the third one in half to form the pocket inside.
I used a brad to attach them together.

I stamped and die cut the butterflies, then distressed them
to match the paper.  I added the flower and the Merry Christmas.

I created this one using  ribbon, pearls and a line punch.

By using the bottom half of the die cut I cut pattern paper
and cream CS to decorate the front.  I added an embellishment
and the Christmas saying.

This was the easiest of all the ornaments.  The reindeer is a die
cut and I added the embellishment and the saying.

After I made these I found that a gift card will not fit
inside so they are money holders instead. Who doesn't
like to get money as a gift?
This is the Die Cut  from Spellbinders I used.
I hope your enjoying your Christmas season so far.  Don't work to hard and find some time to made some homemade gifts.  They are the best gifts to receive.
