Happy Birthday Quilt

It's the last Monday in March.  Did you enjoy the beautiful weekend? My husband and I are so excited because next month we have the privilege of being able to baby sit for our granddaughter Tessa.  She has grown so much already.  I will share some pictures of her later this week.   While doing these quilt cards I looked up some patterns I could try. This pattern looked easy enough and turned out to be fun.

The pattern paper has a shinny finish so it really
stands out.  After punching out the squares I free hand
cut some of the squares to form the triangles.  Yikes
they did not come out even..... Oh well after running
the square through the embossing folder all was good!!!  LOL

Oops, I forgot to stamp the inside of the card....
Have a fabulous day!

I love you sew much!

Happy Friday to you.  Hope your having a wonderful day! This quilt card is made using all Close To My Heart (CTMH) paper and stamp set. I went back to using the square punches to cut out the squares.  Using punches are much easier!!!  I had fun making this card!

The brown squares were distressed using the CTMH
distressing tool.  The pattern paper was inked distressed.

I Love you Sew Much for stopping by today!  Thank you.

Miss You Quilt Card

Happy Wednesday. Today's quilt card is made using yellow and black scrap paper along with a some textured velvet paper,  Making quilts require precise cuts and measurements.  Believe me I tried but it just didn't happen.  I cut  3/4  X  3/4 in. squares to form the quilt.   I made the mistake of running the squares through the embossing folder before gluing them together.  Surprise... Surprise... they did not match up. UGH!!! No worries, I just hand trimmed, glued them down and ran them through the embossing folder again.  Whoo Hoo! It worked.

The stamp set is from Mama Elephant.

Close up of the embossing.

Today let someone know you love them.

Happy Monday!  Did you enjoy your weekend?  Get any crafting done? I did a lot of crafting last week making quilt cards. I went kind of crazy and made about seven of them.  Although they were fun and somewhat challenging I know why I don't quilt!  I am NOT a precise crafter and in no way would I be a precise quilter or sewer.....LOL
Using a square punch and scrap paper I glued
together the squares and attached them to CS.

The stamp is from Artful Stamper- Blanket of Love.
I purchased this stamp at the Rubber Stamp
show a couple of years ago.
Before I attached the squares to the CS I ran it
through an embossing folder.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hello Quilt Card

Happy Friday to you. I was able to play in my craft room this week.  I worked on Quilt cards.  My sister-in-law Lorena makes beautiful quilts.  Her birthday was this month so I decided to make her a quilt card.  I kind of got carried away and made lots of quilt cards....I will be sharing them with you for the next few weeks.
I took a piece of 6 X 6 pattered paper cut it into
one inch squares.  I used the scallop square punch
and attached the pattern paper the scallop squares.

I ran the squares through an embossing folder to
give it a quilted look.

You all have a super great weekend!!

Birthday Folio

Hello.  Hows everyone doing today?  We are having some beautiful spring days. Yeah! Today I am sharing a Envelope Folio I made for my sisters birthday.   You can watch the instruction video at Laura Denison Designs.  Click on her "Archives" tab and then "What's Up Wednesdays".
The paper packet is from The Paper Studio
Helerdashery.

There are a total of five (5) envelope pockets.

I didn't have any brown envelopes so I
made my own envelopes from brown CS.
The tag is holding the envelope closed.  You remove
the tag and pull out the pictures.

I made a fold out book to add pictures of Renee.
I attached a black tag to put out the book.

We had so much fun looking at the pictures, laughing
at hair and clothes styles way back then,

This is a very easy folio to make.  Of course I had to make more than one.  I will post the other folio next week.  Enjoy your day!

Vintage Birthday Card

Happy Monday to you.  Did you make it to the Rubber Stamp show this weekend?  I went to the show already knowing what I wanted to buy. I went straight to the Heartfelt Creations booth found what I wanted and got in line. Then heard someone talking about the early bird special going on. If you purchased 4 stamps and 4 dies you received a $50.00 discount and a $20.00 FREE stamp set of your choice. So of course I got out of line to pick out more stamps and dies. I just can't pass up discount and free.....hee hee.  Can't wait to share what I purchased.  On to today's card. This birthday card is for my sister Renee. She turned 29 AGAIN this year.....
I used my favorite paper packet from
The Paper Studio - Halerdashery.

Starting with the SU Framelits-Dress Up die, I
attached tulle, ribbon and a flower.

Found these embellishment in  my embellishment drawer.
Not sure where they are from.

On the inside of the card I added an embellishment
to the belt.

On the right side of the card I added some lace
and stamped a sentiment from CTMH.
My sister loved her card.  Stop by this week to see the gift I made her.  Have a wonderful day!

Butterfly Card

Happy Friday.  Do you have any special plans this weekend?  The Rubber Stamp Show is here in Albuquerque this weekend so I am planning on attending.  Of course I don't need anything but I am sure I will find lots of new crafting items I want.....hee hee
This was a very easy and quick card.  It's all about the paper.

I cut out two butterflies and attached them to the
card along with the saying. I used brown ink to
distress the edges and it was done.

You all have a great weekend and hope to see you at the Rubber Stamp show.  God Bless.

Goofy Stuff

Happy Wednesday to you!  Today's card was made for my sister's boyfriend.  I have a hard time making manly looking cards and thought the old vintage look was manly enough.
The paper is from Paper Studio.  I used the distressing
tool around all the edges and then ink distressed the paper.

The saying is a SU stamp set.

I wrinkled the paper and used lots of layers.

The inside was stamped with a SU stamp set.

Today celebrate the day with CAKE........
