Candle

Hello everyone! How was your Christmas?  I hope you all had a blessed Christmas with your loved ones.  Mine was wonderful! Today I am sharing a last minute gift I made for the Holidays.
Hobby Lobby had their candles and accessories 50%
off so I purchased the candle, cross and gold candle
holder.  The ribbon is from my stash.

I wrapped the burlap and ribbon around the
candle and attached it with glue.

On the back of the cross is a metal needle to insert
into the waxed candle.  Hobby Lobby has a
variety of candle pins. I have never notice these
before but I really like them.

The back of the candle.
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!

Lot of Trees

Happy Friday. It's a busy time of the year getting ready for the Holidays. I always have big plans to make Christmas crafts and homemade gifts but every year I run out of time. This year is no different ...heehee.  Oh well there is always next year right?

Every year I try to do something different when I give my money gifts.  This year I found these Money Tree Lots on Pinterest.  The original posting for these were on Kim Knight Kreations.
I decorated each one a little different.

View from the top.

Can you see the mini lights?  They are made by
 Jolee's boutique.

Here is the money folded and the styrofoam for the base.

My sisters were visiting the other day and I asked them
if they could help me fold my money. They
laughed
and thought I was crazy.  They did help and
we did have great time folding money.

I couldn't find a tutorial for the Tree Lot so I
made the base using styrofoam, cardboard and a
exacto knife.  I did use a tutorial
on how to fold the money.
Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a Merry Christmas!!

Birthday Gift

Hello and Happy Friday! Today I am sharing a gift I made for my neighbor Heather.  Her birthday was last month and I asked myself what do you get a person who has a craft room that looks like Hobby Lobby?  She has everything crafting so I made her this photo book.
This is the cover of the book.
Ace is one of her grandchildren.  We had a play day
last summer with my niece Isabella.

The book opens to the right for the first picture.

It unfolds one more time.

The book has three fold out flaps to attach pictures.
This book could be used to insert into a larger photo book.  You have a wonderful weekend!

December Birthdays

Happy Friday to you!  Hope you had a wonderful week.  I am sure you are out there shopping, decorating, wrapping and checking your Christmas list.  I have have lots of December birthdays so here is the birthday card I made for my brother-in-law.
The stamps used here are from CTMH.

I used lots of browns and black inks to distress the card.

I love this saying....as I am getting older...hahaha

Inside the card.
God Bless and enjoy your weekend!

Happy Birthday

Happy Monday to you.  Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Did you do any Black Friday/Thursday Shopping?  I went to Michael's and Joann's Friday Morning about 8am and it was't bad at all.  That afternoon I notice I was charged full price for one of my items so I had to go back to Michael's to get a refund.  Since I was at Michael's and I just happened to have the 40% off everything NOT on Sale coupon only good for the afternoon I purchased more stuff.  I would have saved money had I just kept the one item at full price and not got a refund....haahaahaaha

Today's card is a birthday card I made for one of my sister-in-law.s birthday.  When I took the pictures the lighting was not good so I didn't capture the true colors of the card.
This is a fun fold Card using a punch for the edges.

This picture shows a little more the green and purple colors.

The paper is a packet from Heartfelt Creations.

I touched up the paper with a touch of glitter.

This is a tag I added to the inside.
Sorry about the poor pictures.  Hope you have a great week!

Eat Beef!

Happy Thursday to you.  Today I am sharing the cupcake toppers I made for my Church breakfast a couple of weeks ago.  I should say the ONE topper I made because I ended up using pre-made turkey embellishments.  I was looking in my Fall/Thanksgiving bin and came across these felt turkeys.  Since I was short I time I ended up with only one homemade turkey.

This is the one Turkey I made using punches and a
colorful napkin.

The ladies at the church bake sale thought they
were funny.
You all have a wonderful weekend.  Don't work to hard prepping for Thanksgiving.

Just Because

Hello!  Hope you all had a good weekend.  Today I am sharing a card I made for a friend who loves purple and butterflies.
A die cut and punches were used to make
all the embellishments.

Hope you have a wonderful week.

More Tea Holders

Happy Thursday. Here are the other tea holders I made. You could alter these tea holders and make them money or gift card holders instead. They measure 7 x 4 when closed and 7 x  8 1/2 when open.

The tree on the left was a gift tag and the
Happy Holidays is a sticker. The other tree is a
stamp from Close To My Heart.
All the sayings are also from CTMH.

Both of these were made using die cuts.

Here is one with money inside the pockets. I was
thinking you could put a clear pocket and fill it with
money. You could customize these for birthdays,
graduations etc.
Now get out your crafting supplies and made some Christmas tea/gift card holders. Just type "Tea Holders" on Pinterest and you will find all different kinds you can craft.  Happy Crafting.

Tea Holders

Happy Monday! I was able to stay home this weekend and craft. Yuppie! My sister-in-law had asked for the instructions of these Tea Holders.  After sending her the instructions I decided to make a few myself. Last year I sold these at two different craft fairs and they all sold out.
On the outside I stamped Snowmen and used
markers, glitter and ribbon.

This is the inside.  On the right is where the tea is
inserted into the pockets. I only had "Lipton" tea on hand
but there are lots of colorful teas you can purchase
to coordinate with your projects.

This is my favorite snowman.
He is so cute he makes you smile.

Inside on the left side I added a tag/book marker in
each one.  I made belly bands to insert the tag.

The mittens are a die cut.  Sorry not sure who the
marker is. I borrow die cuts from my neighbor
Heather and cut away before I return the die
leaving me with little bags of embellishments.

You all have a wonderful week.  I will share the other four tea holders later this week! Thanks for stopping by.
