Pirate Theme

Happy Monday! Can't believe this is the last Monday of August. Today, I am sharing some gift card holders I made for my TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) group. We had our new Officers Installation and I usually make all the themed props. This year I didn't have the time. I wanted to make something so I made gift card holders.
This is the first one I made. I got the instructions
off- mychicnscratch.com

Great Buys

Happy Monday! On August 5th the annual "De-Stash" sale was held at the Jewish Community Center.  Of course my neighbor Heather and I went.  We told ourselves we need nothing, but it won't hurt to just go look. Are you all laughing by now? Of course, we didn't just go look, we bought. We got there early and as we were standing in line a lady came up and asked if there was a fee to go inside. The lady in front of us said "No, it's free to enter but it cost you to leave".....LOL So true!!!
These are the items I purchased. The prices
were so good I couldn't pass them up

This was my best buy. For one dollar per bag
I received Stamp n Up: ink pad,  the re-inker,
stamp set,  2 rolls of ribbon, card stock
and marker. Can you believe that?
I got the last two. The lady before me
had purchased five of them.

The SU Stamp sets were only $1.00 each. I got
10 ink pads (all but 2 brand new) for $5.00.
This is Heather's stuff.  She got some really good
deals also.

The yarn was .25¢ each.
We had so much fun and what GREAT deals!!  We saw a few of our crafting and sewing friends there. I am sure you got some great deals too. Happy Crafting and sewing!

Step Card

Happy Monday! How is everyone today? Hope you're having a GREAT day! My son Robert had a birthday last week and I wanted to make him a card. I have these cute tool die sets so I decided on a Step Card tool box.  There are a lot of "Step Cards" out there and some of them are really cool.  Have you tried making one? They are a lot of fun to make. Hope you try one.

My letters for "Robert" aren't to straight...(laughing)

I used foam adhesive for the draws to make them
look as if they were open.

I added a pocket on the inside so I could insert money.

Enjoy the rest of your week. Find some time for crafting.

Friends and Crafting

Happy August Monday! Not sure where this year has gone but it's almost the end of the year and I've done no Christmas shopping yet. Have you been to Hobby Lobby? All the Christmas stuff is out and ready to craft with.  I guess I better get busy....(smiling) My neighbor, Heather and I got together and made a few cards. It was nice to craft with her again.
This is the first card we made. I took a picture of her
card because mine came out so messy and awful!
I felt like I was in Kindergarten again....LOL

Inside the card
Heather handed me the cut-out paper
and told me to decorate it. So I added
 the twine and flower.

Beautiful paper don't you think?

Inside the card.

I love this card. The words are a
die cut. I just added the flowers and bling.
Easy Breezy.

I left the inside blank.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a wonderful week!
