Memory Game

Happy Monday! Here we are already starting the second week in September. It's getting cooler outside and Fall is just around the corner. I have had no time for crafting but I wanted to make a birthday gift for my daughter-in-law's niece Mila. I took some pictures on our camping trip and thought it would be fun to share the pictures in a memory game.
Using chip board, pattern paper and double pictures
from our camping trip I started the project.

Here is the chip board cut and the stamp set I used.

The pattern paper was cut in 8 x 8 and ran through the
printer with the above caption. Using the stamp sets
I stamp different images on the paper.

Each card measures 4 x 4.

Here is the back side of the memory game. I did use
Mod podge on both sides of the memory cards.

Since I didn't get permission to post Mila's picture
I covered her face. The other picture is of my
niece Isabella.
I hope Mila will have fun playing and seeing herself in this game. This will be my new gift for nieces and nephews. Have a super great weekend.

Handmade Card

Happy Labor Day!  Hope everyone is enjoying their day.  Mid August I posted a thank you card I made for a friend who let us stay in his cabin this summer.  I had mentioned he was a great woodworker, he also makes cards and does beautiful work with string, yarn, inks and paper. I received this card in the mail from him.  He puts my stuff to shame. He collects discarded string etc and makes beautiful art with them.
It looks like the ladybugs were part of a blanket, or
maybe a blouse. I like the way he shredded the ends
of the fabric.

Look at the texture of the paper.

He makes his own paper and I wish you could see
this in person, it's just gorgeous!

Thanks for letting my share. You all enjoy your week!

Birthday Cards

Happy Thursday!  It' has been a busy couple of weeks. We have now officially started the downstairs remodeling. We have so many projects going on at once it's pretty crazy but exciting too. I was able to make some birthday cards last week for my TOPS group.
I made six cards using a 12 X 12 single
sheet of pattern paper.

The cards had to be mailable without additonal
postage so I chose a 3-D pattern paper.

I added lace and pearls to some of the cards.

Here is a close up of the paper. The card on the right
has no ribbon or pearls added to it.  I added lace
and pearls to the card on the left.
Thanks for stopping by today. Enjoy your weekend! God Bless.
