Okay Light The Candles!

Happy December Monday! Can't believe it's already December. It's been a great year but it went so fast. Here is another birthday card I made for my nephew. I love this stamp set "Fire Out" from Art Impressions.
I used Prisma Color Markers to color in the image.
It's always a challenge for me to make
masculine cards.

The candles are 3-D stickers

Enjoy your day. Don't work to hard this Christmas Season. God Bless!

Elmo Birthday

Happy Elmo Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving week. My niece turned two years old and loves Elmo. She carries him wherever she goes and loves to wear Elmo PJ's. I searched the web for Elmo cards and found this web site: www.repeatcrafterme.com and thought the card was really cute.
The Elmo card on the right was made just as the site
instructions. I wanted to "Up It" as my neighbor
Heather would say (smiling) So I made another
card using Flocking Powder and glitter paper for the eyes.

Can you see the flocking?  Elmo's mouth on the right
is freehand using marker. I tried to do the same with
paper but just couldn't get it right, so I went with the
 half circle instead.

Inside the card has a pop-up Happy birthday.

This is the other card I made.
Do you have Flocking Powder? It was all the craze at one time. So of course I have several different colors still unopened....hahaha The Crafters got to have it...right?

It's Turkey Week

Happy Thanksgiving Week! Wishing you and your family a Blessed Thanksgiving. I have so much to be thankful for! I want to thank all of you for sharing your time with me. I don't sell anything and I'm far from an artist but I love to craft and it's fun to share what I make here on my blog.

Here are two more 30th Birthday cards I made. I saw a video using Tim Holtz's inks to make silver paper look like  rustic metal. Of course I only had two of Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol inks but I used other products and it came out okay.
All the tools are die cuts and distressed with
ink. These were fun to make.

Using the the inks I sprayed and dropped
ink on the paper after cutting it up in small
pieces. I then glued it to the base of the card.

I added nail braids and hinges,

Birthday Card

Happy Veterans Day! Today we salute all those who have served and given up their lives for the sake of our country. We thank you and your families for our freedom.  Have a Happy Veteran’s Day. I'm sharing another 30th birthday card I made for my nephew.
The stamp is an old Stampin Up set.

I die cut the 30th out of card board
and then the pattern paper to make
it 3-D.

The leaf is made of wood.

Cheers To You!

Happy November Monday! Where did 2018 go?  Can't believe it's already November. The Holiday season has now officially started. Today I am sharing a 30th birthday card for a nephew who lives out of the country. Since he is turning the big "30" I thought I would send him several 30th birthday cards. For the next few weeks I'll share them with you.
I've had this beer mug (cardboard cut-out) forever.
I think I got it at a craft fair...who knows....(laughing)

I used CTMH liquid glass on the mug. I left piles
of the liquid glass to make it 3-D. It looks real.

 Enjoy your November Monday!

Safari Themed Baby Shower

Happy Monday! I thought since I am on a Baby roll (laughing) I would share the diaper cake I made for my Son & Daughter-in-law's shower, 6 months ago....I never got around to posting it. My grandson is now 4 months old already. They grow so fast.
I purchased the little animals at
Tuesday Morning. They have
great prices.

We added some Jungle palm leaves.

This was the set up for games and gifts.
Here is the cake with my daughter-in-law's and son's picture.
So adorable
Have a wonderful week!

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Happy Monday! Here is another baby card I made for a shower I attended a couple of weeks ago. The theme was Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I made this card literally walking out the door.  Just been so busy baby sitting for my new little grandson. (smiling)There were four ladies pregnant at this shower. See I tell you it's another baby boom.

This was the closes thing I had to the
theme. The saying is a cut-out on vellum.
I used silver glitter ribbon for the sides

The yellow star with the cloud is a
sticker along with the silver stars.

Look how cute the table center pieces
are. The host of the party has a Cricut
machine and made all the decorations.

My daughter-in-law made the diaper cake
She did a great job!
Thank you for stopping by today. Happy Stamping!

It's A Boy!

Happy Monday! I don't know about your family and friends but we are having a baby boom in my family and circle of friends. Lots of showers and babies. So cute!

I saw this card on Pinterest and thought
it was really cute. I used a die cut
for the duck.

Using a round punch I made the bath
water. "It's A Boy" is a sticker.

Heartfelt Creations

Good Morning. Happy October! Fall is here with the cooler weather and the changing of the trees. My favorite weather.  I made a couple of cards using Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwood and Stampin Up Jar of Love die cuts/stamp sets.

Using scrap paper I made the blue
flowers and butterflies.

To make the jar really POP, I used CTMH
liquid glass to attach the CS & acetate paper
together with butterflies inside. Then added
twine to the lid.
Making flowers these flowers are
fun and relaxing for me.

Enjoy the Fall weather and beautiful Fall colors. Blessing to all!

Anniversary Card

Happy October First! Today I am sharing a 50th Wedding Anniversary Card I made. I wish I could say I made this card for my parents anniversary, with all the preparations for their party I never got around to making them a card. (sad face) This card was made for one of my Aunt and Uncles 50th Anniversary.

The background embossed paper was from
my Son's wedding invites. I used
Heartfelt Creation's die cuts to add
a layer on top and glued flowers with
some tulle.

Added some pearls to the die cut layer.
The hearts are glittered stickers.

Thank you for stopping by today....Enjoy your day!

50th Anniversary

Happy Monday Morning! Today is a long posting so get your coffee ready. I am sharing my parents 50th Anniversary celebration. My Dad, as he said "I don't want a Circus" so we kept it small. We set up chairs, alter and tables in my back yard, which made it intimate and perfect.
Here is a photo of the front and back of the invite.
This was kind of a last minute celebration I ordered
the invites and didn't realize the photo paper was so
flimsy. Fortunately, I had gold CS to add a backing to
the photo. It was a good thing because  I didn't put my
 parents name on the invite.
😆(Oh Dear) They
turned out okay in the end.
I decorated a basket by spray painting it white,
adding jeweled lace and flowers to it. We filled it
with white rose petals and had my niece walk down
the isle in front of my Mom. I added glitter
and flowers to decorate the wine glasses.

I made napkin holders to help add color to
the tables. I embossed the outside square and
added the ribbon. Using die cuts I made the
"50th" embellishment and added it to
the center.
I wanted some kind of an alter for my parents
to renew their vows. I ordered this arch on line.
Boy you get what you pay for. It was very
flimsy so we had to tie it down with fishing line.
After adding sheer material and flowers
I think it came out really nice.

This is a picture before the ceremony of
my Parents.
The cake table and cookie table.
Thank you for sharing your time with me while I share my family with you. God Bless

Nail Polish

Happy Monday!  Today I am sharing a birthday card I made for a preteen. Preteens are hard to shop for and to make a card for. They don't want little girl things and they are not old enough for teenager stuff. I finally decided on a nail polish themed card. I searched Pinterest and found several cards and techniques and decided on this one.
Using the Stampin Up Owl punch
and the Label Punch I made the
nail polish bottles. I purchased nail
polish as part of her gift, so I tried
to use the same colors of the purchased
polish. Of course I didn't have the colors
I needed...haha we never do right?

You can't tell by the picture but I used
a liquid glass and acetate over the
punched colored card stock. I cut the
acetate a bit larger than the CS to make
it look like a bottle.

This was a fun card to make.
You all have a super great week and Happy Stamping!
