Yesterday was such a beautiful day it reminded me of spring already.
Wishing you a spring like day today.
I love punches.  This was made with  punches, an
oval die cut, bling and a button.
Quick and easy card.  Using pattern paper, CTMH
stamp set "Baby Love and some ribbon.

Just a quick post today.  Look what my daughter got for her birthday....

She is so adorable. She loves to play with the little toy dog.
She doesn't have a name yet.
Sending you a day filled with puppy dog kisses and tail wagging.

Hi everyone. Today is my daughter's Birthday.  Happy Birthday Stephanie.  I can't believe she is already 22 years old.  Time goes by so fast.  They say our Golden Years are when we retire, I say our golden years are when we are raising our children.  They grow up so fast but they will always be our little babies...

So on to my cards for today. For those of you who have never created your own paper design here is a fun way to do it.  Starting with blank card stock, stamp an image with Versamark and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then you add ink to the cards.  I used my sponges and blended all the inks together. This brings out the embossed image.

I stamped a cupcake on scrape paper,  colored it and cut it out.  I added CTMH Glitz glitter gel to the frosting and the cherry.  My camera doesn't capture the colors well.  The card stock is dark purple not brown.  The colors are very bright and the embossing brings the cupcakes to life.

Here I did the same technique using the CTMH  Wishing Star set. The saying is stamped on Twill:  "Just wanted you to know...".  You're my Shining Star" is stamped, punched and attached to the Twill.  I used off white card stock so the stars are a cream color and look 3D in person.
Have a wonderful weekend.

It's Friday!!  Are you looking forward to the weekend? Sure hope you have a great one.  I have lots of birthdays in January and February so here are a few cards I made.

Happy Anniversary Heather and Dave.
Heather is part of our Wednesday Card Nights.

Inside the card

Happy Birthday Nicole.
My Niece is in a band and she is the drummer.
The camera didn't capture all the glitter I added.

My Wednesday card night was cancelled so we will have to wait until next Thursday to see the creative cards the ladies came up with.
Life just sometimes gets in the way of our fun.

Last week I posted samples of invitations for a luncheon I was asked to make.  Here is the finished product.

All cut out and ready to put together

For those of you who have an eye for detail, I did make the last three of each row opposite the rest. Once I started to assemble I just got carried away and before I knew it I had glued them on the opposite sides.  That is what makes Homemade special.  Each is different but the same.....

Here is a close up.  The heart paper is from CTMH, the punch is Stampin Up,  glitter paper for the top of the cup cake and silver paper for the bottom.

I received this QuicKutz die cut as a gift.  It's just so much fun. I enjoy cooking and love to bake so this will come in handy for decorating my bake goods. What a perfect gift!! Thanks Debbie.  You all have a Blessed day.

I cut the words from a  paper packet from The paper Studio "Sugar and Spice."

In 2009 I joined a weight loss group called TOPS.  They are a WONDERFUL group of ladies who have changed my life.  Last year for Valentines Day I gave them a Tea bag  instead candy. I attached the saying "Wishing you a Hot and Steamy Valentine's Day."  That inspired me to make these Valentine Tea holders.  It's a little something for those who can't indulge in the Chocolate craziness durning Valentines.

 These measure 4x3.

Inside of the holder

The right side is left blank so you can write your own note.

I only had this Lipton tea but using the fancier Teas really add to the holder.
These are so simple to make:

  • Cut card stock 4 X 8 1/4
  • Score at 3" and 6"
  • Fold and add two brads
  • Decorate the front and inside
  • Add your tea bag

I guess with all the rain in Albuquerque today we will not be having a Hot and Steamy Day. Stay warm and Cozy.

Hope you had a fantastic weekend.
I had a busy weekend and didn't have a chance to post to my blog.  Sometimes Life just gets in the way.

I am so excited to share with you some pictures of my niece using the CTMH Collage Cubes.   You're going to love the Collage Cubes and the Rock the Block stamp set, which work together for interactive, 3-D fun.
When you place a minimum order of $25 from the Autumn/Winter 2011 Idea Book, you can get two new products for just $15:
Collage Cube and the Rock the Block Stamp set shown above.

   Offer expires January 31, 2012.
Please click "Shop with me" to place your order.

Here is Isabelle wearing nothing but her hat. This photo is a 5X7 and takes up most of the cube.

She was playing with my red ribbon and I was able to capture this great laugh.
Here I used the Live Life stamp set and a 4x6 photo.

This picture was taken Friday.  I can't believe she will be a year old in 10 days.
The cube sits inside a square box.
You can display 6 different pictures or designs.  It makes a GREAT gift.

Happy Friday. My idea was to come up with a Masculine card. This card is very versatile. It allows you to write 10 things about the man/person in your life.  You can add a red heart and make it your Valentine's Day card.  It can be a Birthday, Anniversary or Just Because I Love You.  It would make a great Father's Day Card.  You could always make it in pink, add some flowers and you have a Mother's Day Card.

I cut the strips, added the colored squares, stamped and punched the numbers then glued them to  the top of each strip.

I used the "10 Things" stamp set from  CTMH.  Please click on "shop with me" if you would like to purchase this stamp set.

For the past two years maybe more a few of us ladies have been crafting together every Wednesday night.  During the week we each design a card and make three cuttings of our card. We then meet and put together the cards. It's like going to a workshop every Wednesday night.  It's our ladies night out to laugh and have fun. These ladies are very creative and I really enjoy their company.

Here are the cards we made last night.

I was asked to do some invitations for a luncheon.  She wanted them to be very simple. These are a few I have worked on so far. Let me know what your choice is by adding a comment.  Hope your day is filled with smiles.

The design is embossed with clear embossing powered

The cakes are all covered in glitter.

Happy Martin Luther King Day.  Wishing you a relaxing and enjoyable day.

Today I am showing you one of my favorite paper packets from Close to My Heart (CTMH), The Sonoma Paper Packet. I have made several things with this paper since it was first featured last year. Here is a card and a book marker.

A few months back I also made a Gift for my Grandma with a bargain candle I found at our local Albertsons for only a $1.00.  (Don't tell my Grandma it only cost a $1.00)  Using half a sheet of the paper, some ribbon and a brad I covered the outside of the candle. I made the butterfly using a punch, covered it in glitter and finished it off with CTMH liquid glass.

Today we are having a bake sale
at my Church. So I made a couple
of cakes and decorated them with
paper decorations instead of sugar.

I used Sizzix Die "Hello Kitty" to cut out the bees and lady bugs.  The flowers are all done with punches. I attached them with glue dots to the tooth picks and inserted them into the cakes.

Okay so I did use some sugar.  I sprinkled some green sugar balls at the last minute. Hope you all have a Blessed Day.

Tins
I am big on recycling so I save all my tins, jars and boxes and turn them into small treasures.  Like the old saying goes "Your trash is someones treasure".  You can fill this with chocolate, love notes or a small gift. Have a wonderful day!!
