Happy Halloween

Today is such a fun day for children and adults alike.  Since my children are all grown up and moved away I look forward to all the cute little characters who come to our door on Halloween.  On Sunday my family came over for lunch and we carved pumpkins.  Okay so only two of us carved pumpkins everyone else is watching football game.
My sister Lisa has braces and saw this on Pinterest
and decided to make it.  It's so darn cute. We used
paper clips and some silver beads I had.

Don't laugh but this is the one I carved.  Carving
pumpkins is not my cup of tea...LOL  Everyone
said she looks like Mini Bobeck from The Drew
Carey Show.  What do you think?

Isabella (my niece) is checking out her pumpkin.

She is removing all the pumpkin seeds.

Wishing you a Happy Halloween.  Be safe out there tonight!

Brew Yourself A Cup of Tea

It's never to early to start your Holiday crafts but if you are like me it never happens.  I always say I am going to start in July....ha ha.  Anyway here are a few Christmas items I made using Tea as the gift. These are nice for co-workers or friends you don't see enough.  I added a poem so the person receiving the Tea will know I am thinking of them.

These were made with music paper I found at
Tuesday Morning.  It's beautiful paper.

I touched up her bracelet with glitter glue.

You could add candy or gift card instead.

Enjoy your day and hope you get some Holiday crafts started!

Snowman and Popcorn

Hello! Thanks for stopping by today.  I came across these cute Jiffy Pop popcorn snowman on Pinterest by Melissa Stout @ The Stamp Doc.  I followed Melissa's instructions step by step and had a hard time putting the top back together. Aaahhh!!   Her posting was back in 2010 and since then Jiffy Pop has changed their packaging.   After that I didn't take the tops off and it worked just fine.
Not many stores carry Jiffy Pop popcorn anymore.
I found these at Smith's Food Store.

This is the first one I made having a hard time putting the top
back on.  You can see how the face is not round anymore.
The hat is a gift card holder.

Here is my version.

I used Googly eyes, 3-D noses, chalked the cheeks
and drew on the mouth.

I changed the way the hat is attached to the handle.

The hat opens to insert a gift card or money.

Snowman and Popcorn, two things I love. Happy Stamping and Popping...

Butterflies

Welcome to my side of the world.  Today I am sharing another card I made for my friend Elizabeth.  She loves everything butterflies.  I always put a few butterflies on every card I send her.
The yellow die cut is from Memory Box.  I got this
die cut when the Hen House went out of business.
I ended up with lots of Memory Box dies because
of Charlene going out of business. I make it sound
like  having lots of dies is a bad thing....LOL

Using my tape gun I covered a piece of black CS with
tape.  I then laid the yellow die cut piece over the taped
 CS and added glitter.

The butterflies are a light yellow.
(You can't tell by the photo).
Hope your day is filled with smiles.

Wine Bottle Tags

Hello everyone! I have signed up to participate in a craft fair on
Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Petroglyph Elementary School.
They are located at 5100 Marna Lynn Ave NW Albuquerque NM 87114.
I sure hope you all can stop by.
Here are some of the Christmas themed wine bottle tags I made for the craft fair.
I have others I made and will share at a later date.
The tags measure 6 x 3 1/4. I used a 1 3/4 punch
to make the hole for the bottle.

This was the first tag I made.  I stamped the tree to
close to the middle and had to hang the "Peace" over
to the right

This tag I moved over the tree and added the
baby deer.

I got carried away with the baby deer...LOL

It's always a great day when you stop by to see what I am up to.  Thank you so much for taking a look!  Have a super good day!!

Deer Card

How are you today?  I have been crafting away getting ready for a craft fair.  This card was inspired by some wine bottle tags I was making. I will post those tags in a few days.
I used a Memory Box die to cut the deer. The Happy
Birthday is a die cut from Elizabeth Craft designs.

The white tree bark is the pattern paper and I just
stamped the evergreen trees behind the deer.

Inside the card.
Enjoy your day today.  Hope you can do some crafting this week.

Just because

Hello. Hope your having a wonderful day today.  I made this card for a friend who I haven't seen in awhile.  She has been working and traveling but always has time to send me a card each week to let me know how special I am.  She is a wonderful lady!! We have been exchanging cards for about a year now.  It's a wonderful thing to see her envelope in the mail box instead of all the junk mail.
I wish you could see this card in person.  It's just
full of glitter.  The paper is just stunning. The flower
was cut using a Memory Box die.

The stem from the flower was cut from the same
glitter pattern paper to make it pop. The butterflies
were also cut from glitter paper.

Inside of the card.

I stamped and colored the envelope also.
This week make a card and send it to a friend or family member just because.  I promise it will make their day and put a smile on their face.  You will feel good too.

One Sheet Box

Welcome!  Today I am sharing a gift box made using one 12 X 12 sheet of pattern paper, a die cut and some flowers.  It's very easy and a great way to wrap a small gift or gift card.

Looking at this picture it looks like  maybe I should
add a ribbon handle to the box.  What do you think?
I wish I could tell you I made these flowers, but for
me it's just easier to buy them....LOL  These are
from Bessies Lace & Crafts here in Albuquerque.

A small magnetic was used to attach the flap to the box.

I added ink to each of the score lines to give it
a vintage look.
I hope your enjoying this Fall weather. Have a wonderful day!!

Ready for some football?

Hello. Hope you have had a wonderful week so far. As I have mentioned several times I belong to a weight loss group called TOPS.  We had our installation of new Officers and I volunteered to be the "Contest Coordinator".   Many of the ladies love football so I thought I would incorporate losing weight and football for my first contest.  This is what I came up with.
I started with a piece of sheet metal, framed
cork board, green burlap, magnetics, liquid
white paint, brown CS and paper footballs.
I covered the sheet metal with the burlap and glued it
to the framed cork board.  I glued the footballs to the
magnetics.
To make the lines I used  liquid white paint.

The numbers are cut from CS using a die cut.

I assigned a football to each person at TOPS and
divided the group into two teams.  If they lose weight
their football gains yardage towards their goal line
to score a touchdown.  If they gain weight they receive
a penalty and their football is moved back 10 yards.
Each week they have a group goal and gain extra
yardage if they complete their goals.
The contest has been a big hit. I hope I can continue to motivate these ladies and myself to continue on the road (field) to losing weight and good health!!  Have a super great weekend!

Birthday Card

Hello Everyone! Hope all is well in your world!  It's been too long time since I have posted to my blog.  I miss you all!! I took the month off from my blog to catch up with life. I have not done as much crafting as I would have like too. I did made a few projects and worked on a couple of Mini Albums.  The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta started on Saturday so in honor of the fiesta I thought I share a birthday card with balloons.

I got this  girl stamp at the open house
sale I had early this year.  She is just
so cute and happy.  I made this card blue
and orange because Mila's family are
BIG time Bronco fans so of course she
is too.

The paper has 3D crush velvet dots on it.  I got this
paper from Costco many years ago.

The balloons were cut using a Die Cut.
I covered them with glue and sprinkled glitter on them.
I attached them with floral wire.

Inside the card.
I hope to be back posting a couple times a week to share what I have created.  You enjoy your day and God Bless you!
