More Tissue Holders

Hello everyone! Now that the wrapping paper is all cleaned up and your gifts are sitting around waiting to be put away we can relax and look back on the wonderful new memories we made this Christmas Season.  I hope your Christmas was a blessing!  Today I am sharing some Christmas Tissue boxes I made and gave as gifts this Christmas.  

I purchased this paper when I was in AZ visiting
my sister.  It's a great packet filled with double
sided paper, tags and card stock. 

The box on the left matches the wine bottle covers I
made for my craft fair. 

I love these little penguins. They are embellishments
 from Jolee's boutique.

This is my favorite box.  I decorated all four sides.

Merry Christmas

Christmas Tissue Covers

Merry Christmas!  I have been busy just like all of you preparing for Christmas so I've had little time to craft. Yesterday morning I woke up really super early (3:30am) and decided to work/play in my craft room.  I know you are thinking I'm a nut but I am a morning person and normally get up between 4:30am -5am anyway.  I've been meaning to make a Christmas cover for my tissue box but just couldn't fine the time so yesterday I found the time.   I made a couple extra for my TOPS group as part of their prizes for the contest we just finished.  It was nice to be back crafting and enjoying my morning. 

The paper is from a Christmas packet, the stamp is
a CTMH set and not sure where I got the flowers.
I used different ribbon on the bottom of each box. 

This is the box I decided to keep for me.

You can't tell by the picture but all the paper has
glitter on it and it really shines.

Stove Top Potpourri

Happy Holidays! The Christmas count down has began.  This is the last shopping weekend before Christmas.  So Glad I will not be shopping this weekend!!  My baking is done and I only have a few gifts left to wrap.  Woo Hoo!!  I have been working on homemade potpourri for some stocking stuffers.   I have always added apples, oranges, cinnamon and vanilla to a pot of water to simmer.  The aroma in the house is so wonderful.

 to the stockings. 

I dehydrated the oranges and apples using my dehydrator.

All the ingredients- apples, oranges, Cinnamon sticks
and a bottle of imitation vanilla.
(I bought the vanilla at the Dollar store).

The oranges after they were dry.  I left them out
for a few days to completely dry out.

I left the apples in the dehydrator for 24 hours
but they were still a little moist so I dried them
for a few days on the rack. 

You can package these with a fresh apple and orange. By dehydrating them they can be used at a later date and still have the yummy aroma.  Good luck to all of you during this last week of the Christmas season.  I hope you find time this week to pray, relax and enjoy the season.

York peppermint patty

Happy Monday to everyone.  Were you busy shopping, wrapping and baking this weekend?  Any time for crafting?  I made it to my craft room this week.  Yeah.  I wanted to make a little something for the ladies at my TOPS group.  I never do candy (we are a weight loss group after all) but this year I decided on the York peppermint patties.  On Pinterest, I saw how to make little snowman using the SU scallop punch and the round peppermint patties.  Boy was I surprised when I opened the bag of peppermint patties and they were not package in the round packaging.  So I had to go a different route.  Here is what I made. 

I used the SU Top Note die cut, ribbon, some
embellishments, card stock and small bags.

All done and ready to give away.
