Fun Fold Birthday

Happy February! I'm sharing another fun fold card. As you can see I really like this fold. It's fun to make and you can make these as gift card holders, cash gifts or just leave it as a card. 

This one was made for my Dad's

birthday.  I used the same pattern

paper through out the card.

Fun Fold

Happy October Monday! October is the month when we can wear our Halloween costumes, shop for our Thanksgiving meals and buy our Christmas tree decorations all on the same day.....(lol) I saw this fun fold on StampingMom.com web site. I love fun fold cards.

 

The pattern paper is from a packet with tags.

The "happy birthdays" are tags I cut out 

and attached to paper.

Father's Day

Happy Monday! Here are the Father's Day cards I made. They are easy and simple cards. I got up early that morning to made these cards. Nothing like the last minute right?

The card on the right was the first card

 I made and I think the oval die cut is to

 small for the card. The other card I 

used a size bigger.

Birthday

Happy Monday! My son celebrated his 36th birthday this past week. I saw this fun fold card and decided this was what I was going to make. I used a combination of different stamps and dies. 

 

Here is the ice cream cake I made. I love

Dairy Queens cakes but they run $35-$40

so I decided to make one myself. (smiling) 

It's not as neat and fancy as Dairy Queens but

my grandkids were so impressed and so was 

my son. It was delicious too. (smiling)

Go Army

Happy Monday! How is everyone doing today? I have a nephew who went into the Army this month. His parents had a drive by to send him good luck wishes and love. Cars were decorated with red, white and blue streamers and balloons. Everyone had signs GO ARMY! It was so much fun. I just know he will do great!!  I saw this shirt on Pinterest and thought it was the perfect card for him. 

I made the red shirt first to make sure of the measurements. I think it looks 

like PJ's. What do you think?

I printed the "cadet Parra" on the computer for the name tag. You can't tell

 by the picture but the backing is silver to look like metal.

Happy Birthday Son

Happy Monday! Hope you're having a great day today! My son is a firefighter and had a birthday this past week. I decided to make a firetruck birthday card.

The stamp is a wooden stamp from DOTS.
I'm not even sure where I got it. (smiling)
I used inks to make the background and
Prisma color markers for the truck.

Looking at the truck I should have cut
out the window and added vellum.

Inside the card. My son really got
a laugh out of the saying on the right.

It's A Guy Thing!

Happy Monday! I always struggle to make masculine cards for the guys in my family.  Actually it's hard for any guy...(hahaha).  This card was made for my son Robert.  My kids just keep getting older but for some reason I just keep celebrating my 50th birthday over and over again....(laughing)

Using a Stampin Up splatter
paint stamp I added the blue
splatter to the pattern paper.

I cut out the wheels and
compass from die cuts
from Tim Holtz.

It's Turkey Week

Happy Thanksgiving Week! Wishing you and your family a Blessed Thanksgiving. I have so much to be thankful for! I want to thank all of you for sharing your time with me. I don't sell anything and I'm far from an artist but I love to craft and it's fun to share what I make here on my blog.

Here are two more 30th Birthday cards I made. I saw a video using Tim Holtz's inks to make silver paper look like  rustic metal. Of course I only had two of Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol inks but I used other products and it came out okay.

All the tools are die cuts and distressed with
ink. These were fun to make. 

Using the the inks I sprayed and dropped
ink on the paper after cutting it up in small
pieces. I then glued it to the base of the card.

I added nail braids and hinges,
