Christmas Thank You Cards

Happy Monday! Sharing some more Christmas thank you cards. Now I have to make time to fill them out....smiling. 

I found this 12 x 12 sheet of 

Christmas paper in my stash. 

 I also found some stickers to match. 

(Sorry about the yellowish coloring,

they are more tan) One of these days

I'll have a picture light box to take

good pictures..... 

These were quick and easy to make.

60th Birthday Tree

Happy December Monday! It's been awhile since my last posting. I've been super busy and this time of the year there is so much to do. I wanted to share some Christmas tree handmade decorating I did. My hubby turned 60 years young. I trimmed our tree to celebrate him turning 60.

   

Started with twine and ribbon. 

I tied ribbon onto the twine. I would have

liked to add more ribbon but I was short

on time so I left spaces between each ribbon. 

Using a roll of glitter Christmas wrapping

paper I glued it to a 12 X 12 piece of CS

and then cut out the ornaments. It was much

cheaper than buying the glitter CS. 

I used a gold CS to add the top to the 

ornaments. I cut out the 60 and glued

them to the ornament. 

 

Here is the tree along with black

and gold balls. I topped it with a homemade

angel I purchased at a craft fair.

Thank you Cards for Christmas

Happy New Year! Hope you had a wonderful Holiday! I sat in my PJ'S and made 30 thank you cards this weekend. They are very simple cards and most are mailable. I didn't need 30 thank you cards but I got carried away once I got going.....smiling.  

Using 12 X 12 Christmas paper (which I have way

to much of!) I cut them 4 X 5 to use the whole sheets.

This is my favorite one. The paper alone is

so cute. These little cloth hats are so adorable.

I had these for years!!! Why I've never

used them I don't know!

Christmas Cookies

Happy Monday! The Christmas season is here. This weekend Heather and I attended a cookie exchange party. It was so much fun. We had a delicious lunch. We tasted all the cookies and voted in 5 different categories. I won the most festive cookie. Wow what a surprise. Thank you Sharon, Tara for hosting the cookie exchange. Thank you Melissa for opening up your beautiful home to us.

We had 10 different kinds of cookies.

The window display is so creative and 

beautiful don't you think?

Sharon, the host of the cookie exchange made us

all a Chocolate bomb.  She makes all kinds of 

flavors. You pop one in a coffee mug, add 

8oz of hot milk and it melts the chocolate and other

flavors to make a delicious drink. Yummy!!!  

She sells them for $5.00 each if your interested

Christmas Gnomes

Happy Monday! I saw these gnomes on YouTube and thought they were just so adorable. I just had to try making them. Thank goodness I had most of the stuff already. I used a combination of two different videos with different ways to make them. There are lots of videos out there and so many cute gnomes.  

 

These were made using a few of my husbands long 

socks filled with lentils and covered in Christmas socks.

This fur was hair I had bought to make

Christmas stocking and never did..(smiling)

Worked out well to make his beard. 

This beard was actually a Christmas 

stocking from the Dollar Tree store. I

 took it apart, used the fur for the beard 

and the stocking part to make the hat below. 

With a mustache or without?

Cookie exchange

Happy New Year! Hope you all enjoyed your holidays and had a wonderful New Year. I was able to upload some pictures, still fighting with my computer and my camera. Today I am sharing pictures from a cookie exchange attended. I RSVP'd and then found out they were giving prizes for best cookies, best packaged, most creative...etc....OH NO the pressure is on!!! I decided to make Lemon snowball cookies and decorate them with a snowman package. 

Each package had to have 6 cookies for 10 people
and a doz to serve at the party. 

I used a Tim Holtz die cut for the mittens and hat.
The scarf is felt and the face is a CTMH stamp. 

A prize was given for best displayed cookies.
This is mine.  

Our brunch....MMMMM good!

We had to taste each cookie and vote
for the best cookie for different categories. 

One of the ladies made Biscochitos, she
put them in luminara bags including a
lighted battery operated candle.

These were beautiful. One of the ladies
painted a different picture on each of her
cookie containers and displayed as a
Christmas Tree....WOW! Such talent!

This is my neighbor Heather...She won a
prize...Way to go Heather!!! She made the
best chewy Ginger Snap cookies.
