Engagement Card

Happy Thursday! My daughter-in-law's sister just got engaged. She lives in Colorado so I wanted to send her a congratulations card. I really don't have any engagement stamps so I used a Heartfelt Creations die cut and a congratulations wood stamp from Stampede Rubber,

I had a bag of gold rings but the gold didn't look
good with the white and black. I tried spray paint,
Copic markers and finally used silver glitter glue to
cover the gold ring. I added the bling as the diamond.

I added glitter behind the black die cut embellishment.
The picture doesn't show it but it really shines.

Thanks for spending some time with me today. You have a super great day!

Kindergarten

Happy Monday. School is back in full force. I was at the Mall last week and this lady was so happy. She said "It's so nice to have the kids back in school" I just had to laugh.  For me, school means to much traffic in the mornings...(laughing)  Five years ago between my family and neighbor six beautiful babies were born between January-June and they all have started kindergarten this year. I wanted to send each of them a card filled with hugs and kisses. Of course time got away from me and I've only made one card so far.
The stamp set is a retired CTMH set. It's the most
adorable set with kindergarten as it's theme.

I cut out the "ABC" with a die cut. I wanted to add
"123" but I don't have a number die cut.  Oh dear,
I need to add that to my wish list....(laughing)

Best of luck this school year. Thank You to all the teachers out there that chose to teach!

Heartfelt Creations

Happy Thursday to you! How's everyone doing? Today I am sharing a birthday card I made using my Heartfelt Creations flower die cuts. I have so many ideas and projects I want to make with my Heartfelt Creation dies but so little time to make them....(smiling)

The colors are cream and purples but the picture
doesn't bring out the true colors.

I stamped the flowers on cream colored CS and used
an ivory embossing powder. Adding different shades
of purple inks to the center of the flowers and then
attached the pearls.
Have a great weekend! Happy Stamping.

Masculine Thank You card

Happy Monday! How many masculine thank you cards have you made?  I needed a masculine thank you card for a friend who allowed our family to use his cabin a few weeks ago. He is a cabinet maker by trade and his cabin shows his beautiful and skillful work. I would have loved to make a wooden thank you card for him but instead I added a wooden embellishment. (laughing)
The tree stamp is from SU and the Thank You from CTMH.
I made the white and green one first but decided it needed
browns to make it a bit more manly.

Here's a close up of the wooden leaf. That's about
as close as I am getting to making a wooden card.

Have a wonderful week. Thanks for stopping by today!

Poppy Challenge

Happy Thursday! Not sure where July went and we are already 11 days into August. Hope all is going well with everyone. Today I am sharing the other card my neighbor Heather and I made last week. We used a new stamp she got in the mail called painted poppy.

Using the outline part of the stamp set, we heat embossed
the poppy flower, then added different shades of inks using
the layering part of the stamp set. Heather used the blues
and I used purples and orange colors.

We challenged each other to make a card with our
poppy flowers.  These are the cards I made. I will
post her cards when she is finished.

Heather the challenge is on. Finish your cards and bring them over to share.....(laughing) Hope everyone enjoys your weekend.

Hero Card and Great Buys

Hello and Happy Monday to everyone!  A quilting group organized a De-Stash Sale on Saturday with great savings on all kinds of material, crafting items, tools, yarn, sewing machines etc. It was like a black Friday Sale except it was lots of fun! I've posted some pictures showing some of the items my neighbor and I purchased. On Wednesday she came over and we made these super hero cards.
What do you think? Spider-man? The two left cards
are the ones I made. I like Heather's cards with
the wider blue boarder. Which one do you like?

We used a spiderweb embossing folder and a heart
die cut for the eyes.
Here is a picture of all the items we purchased.
Heather's stuff is on the left and mine is on the right.
Most of our items cost .10¢-$5.00. It was a bargain!

Tim Holtz die cuts were $5.00, new ink $1.00, new
brads .10¢, SU stamps $2.00-$4.00.

I got a SU punch for $1.00, and new CTMH kits for.50¢.
The De-Stash Sale was like a candy store for kids who were allowed to buy as much candy as they could carry....(laughing) I know what your thinking "I just cleaned out my craft room and now I replaced it with more stuff". As all crafters know we buy with great ideas in mind in hopes to find time to play with our new toys.  Hope to see you next year at the De-Stash Sale!

First Anniversary

Happy Thursday. Last year at this time my family and I were in Telluride, CO for my son's Wedding. I can't believe a year has gone by already. They celebrated their first Wedding Anniversary on Tuesday. I made them an anniversary card using the paper I made their Wedding invites.

I used the SU bow maker to make the bows.

The embossed paper was from Michaels.

Have a wonderful weekend. Good luck to all of you who have to do school shopping this weekend.

Ink Blot card

Happy August 1st! Can't believe it's August already. Did you do any fun crafting over the weekend? Today I'm sharing another card my neighbor Heather brought over for us to put together.
We stamped purple and green ink blots on the
white card stock.

We die cut the white flowers and glued them
on top of the stamped ink blots.

Then attached them to the purple embossed background.
These were very fun to make and so easy. Thanks for stopping by today. Come back soon.
