Merry Christmas

Hello everyone. I've missed sharing with you. It's been awhile since my last posting. Almost a month. I wish I could say I have been crafting away, but I have not. Our remodel Marathon is still going on. Life and the holiday's got in the way of the remodel but we are getting closer to being done.

Yesterday I received this card from my crafting friend Marie. Every year my we make a special card to send to each other but I didn't do any cards this year. (sad face)  There is always next year, right?
I love this 3-D card. The color green she used just
shines and the die-cuts are just gorgeous.

Can you see the glitter? It looks like snow.

What a beautiful stamp" Peace on Earth".
Thanks Marie, Love your card. Wishing you all a very Blessed Christmas! Thank you for stopping by all year to visit with me. I hope to start up my crafting and posting again in the new year! God Bless you and your family.

Back in the day....

Happy Thanksgiving!  I came across a box of cards in my closet filled with cards I made way back in the day when I first started card making. I was so proud of these and thought they were the best cards ever....(laughing).  I'm sharing them with you to give you a good laugh today.
Not sure why I even kept them.
I apologize to those of you who received these
cards back in the day. You probably thought my kids
made them.

I still have this back ground stamp.

I used lots of stickers back then.

This was a card set. These cards were so stiff. Back
in the day I used stick glue and construction paper
to make my cards.

Oh Dear, look at this one.

Laughing!! I remember making this card. It was my
first try at ink distressing. I only had a few CTMH
ink pads back then. I still have those ink pads today.
I hope I made you laugh. Have a blessed day with family and friends! God Bless you and thanks for stopping by!

Post-it-Notes

Happy Monday! How is everyone today? Are you getting adjusted to the time change? It's funny because we are painting our kitchen  and dinning room (yes we are still remodeling) and we removed our lighting, so we are eating dinner with candle light since the time changed. I can't image how life was before electricity. Sorry ladies but it's not as romantic as they say it is when you have to do it every night....(laughing)  Today I am sharing some "Post-it-Note" holders. These were from mychicnscratch.com 12 days of Halloween.
When I saw these I thought they would be cute as a
Halloween candy holder. I started with Halloween
paper but never made it back into my craft room to finish.

Have a great fall week!

Fall Baby Shower

Happy Monday! Is it Fall yet or still summer? The weather in Albuquerque has been so beautiful and warm. My trees are not sure if they should be changing colors or stay green....LOL Today I'm sharing some items I made for my sisters baby shower. She wanted couples "Fall" shower in her back yard. We had the shower the first week of  October with 85 guest. We were so busy making food, decorating, entertaining that I didn't take any pictures of the actual shower.  Boo Hoo.(sad face)
I took Mason jars and wrapped burlap
around them. Added dried raffia and flowers.
Fall flowers were added to these jars for the tables.

These mason jars were the lighting for
the tables. I added pop corn inside and put
battery operated lighting.

Jovonna didn't want any of the (old fashion) games
you play at a baby shower. So we did the "Write
a Message on the Diaper" I found this saying on
Pinterest and thought is was cute.

These are the props for the Baby Photo booth. I order
some of these on line and others I made.
I decorated these baskets with a scarecrow family.
We added snack foods for the guest.
This cake was for Jovonna.

This cake was for Mike.

My Dad carved these pumpkins. The baby pumpkins
says "baby noodles". That's the nickname for the baby.

This is the photo booth. I made the "Baby Love"
banner and added the burlap  on top of white curtains.

Since it was outside and we were not sure if it was
going to rain we added a cover over the booth.
Snacks and drinks

Hope you have a super great day. Thanks for letting me share.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween. Are you going trick-or-treating tonight or staying home and handing out candy? We will be handing out candy. I love to see the kids and all their cute costumes. I was able to make a few Halloween candy holders for my ghost and goblins.

Hershey's Chocolate mummy bars.

Using framelits, I  cut pockets with Halloween
pattern paper and added Halloween tags.

Have a super fun Halloween. Be safe out there.

Birthday Card

Happy Monday! Do you have a pile of cards you started but didn't quite finish? Maybe you needed the right color flower, bling or it just wasn't what you thought it should be. This card was one of those. I started this card months ago. I just loved the feather and glitter on this paper but I just couldn't find the right embellishments for it. Needing a birthday card at the last minute I went though my unfinished box of cards (yes I have a box of unfinished cards) and pulled this one out. I added the flower and Happy Birthday and called it done.  Quick and easy. Months ago I am sure I spent hours trying to find the right embellishments. (laughing)

The colors and glitter in this paper is amazing.
Wish this picture showed the beauty in the colors.

Inside the card.
Wishing you a wonderful Fall week!

The world is a colorful place!

Happy Wednesday! How is everyone doing? It's been a while since I've posted anything. Life has been busy. If you remember we are remodeling our house. We were ready to start our down stairs and the stucco. While prepping for the stucco we discovered we needed a new roof. (UGH!) Moving forward a month we now have a new roof and new stucco. ( we had to fire the first stucco guy, that was a mess!!) So now we can start our down stairs with hopes it will be done by the end of the year.

I have done very little crafting (sad face). The card I am sharing today was done with my neighbor Heather about three weeks ago. She stopped by one night with the card cuttings and it's just what I needed.
The tree and leaves are a die cut.

I love the die cuts with the stitched edges.  I've added
it to my wish list....(laughing)

Thank you for stopping by each week even when I was MIA!!  Have a super great day! God Bless!

Memory Game

Happy Monday! Here we are already starting the second week in September. It's getting cooler outside and Fall is just around the corner. I have had no time for crafting but I wanted to make a birthday gift for my daughter-in-law's niece Mila. I took some pictures on our camping trip and thought it would be fun to share the pictures in a memory game.
Using chip board, pattern paper and double pictures
from our camping trip I started the project.

Here is the chip board cut and the stamp set I used.

The pattern paper was cut in 8 x 8 and ran through the
printer with the above caption. Using the stamp sets
I stamp different images on the paper.

Each card measures 4 x 4.

Here is the back side of the memory game. I did use
Mod podge on both sides of the memory cards.

Since I didn't get permission to post Mila's picture
I covered her face. The other picture is of my
niece Isabella.
I hope Mila will have fun playing and seeing herself in this game. This will be my new gift for nieces and nephews. Have a super great weekend.

Handmade Card

Happy Labor Day!  Hope everyone is enjoying their day.  Mid August I posted a thank you card I made for a friend who let us stay in his cabin this summer.  I had mentioned he was a great woodworker, he also makes cards and does beautiful work with string, yarn, inks and paper. I received this card in the mail from him.  He puts my stuff to shame. He collects discarded string etc and makes beautiful art with them.
It looks like the ladybugs were part of a blanket, or
maybe a blouse. I like the way he shredded the ends
of the fabric.

Look at the texture of the paper.

He makes his own paper and I wish you could see
this in person, it's just gorgeous!

Back side of the card.
Thanks for letting my share. You all enjoy your week!
