Happy Halloween!

I wanted to make a Halloween treat for the ladies at my TOPS group. I saw this Halloween box on Mychicnscratch.com, It's her 11th week of the twelve weeks of Halloween boxes.
I used different die cuts, punches and embellishments
to decorate each of the boxes.

I didn't want to give chocolate or candies to the
ladies so instead I added Crystal Lite packets and a pencil.

Have a fun and Safe Halloween.

Halloween Characters

Happy Monday! Today I am sharing some Halloween crafts I made using the SU Curvy Keepsake Box die cut.  I wanted this die cut the minute SU came out with it.  There are so many different things you can do with it.  Do you remember the days before Pinterest? We had to walk to the craft stores, up hill both ways, in the snow to get ideas.  Now they are just a click away......(laughing)
There are many different characters on Pinterest
to make using the Curvy keepsake box die cut.

The witch is my favorite!

I cut this one out of Vellum and added a battery
operated tea light.
Have a wonderful day! Happy Halloween.

TOPS Health-Opoly

As you know I belong to a weight loss group called TOPS.  We have contests to help get healthy, lose weight and keep it off .  I wanted to do some kind of board game so I came up with "TOPS Health-Opoly.  It's played somewhat like Monopoly but you have to lose weight, drink water, exercise in order to move around the board.  The ladies are having a blast playing and last week everyone lost weight....Woot Hoot!!!
I printed out cartoon clip art for the board with
different assignments for the ladies to do each week.

I printed out fruit and veggie pieces and attached them
to round magnets.

When they land on "Pick A Card" they choose one of
the cards I printed out with instructions on what their
extra challenge is for the week.

For example:  NO sugar for 4 days this week.

Instead of "Go directly to Jail" I made a "Go to the Gym"
square.  They have to go to the gym and pay .25¢ to get
out of the gym the following week.

I used a square piece of sheet metal as the game board
base. I used this same piece of metal for the Football contest

I did last year. I was going to attach the sheet metal to the board but
changed my mind because the sheet metal is so much
lighter to carry back and forth to the weekly meetings.
The game itself was a lot of work to put it all together but it was a lot of fun to make.  (Labor of Love).  I will share pictures of the ladies playing the game once we have a winner.  You all have a wonderful weekend!

All the Fixings.......

Happy Tuesday! My neighbor Heather and I got together one night last week and made this card.  It's been to long since we've crafted together.  We weren't sure where to start but I think the card came out pretty good. Heather brought over the cutest stamp and die set. It's from Taylored Expressions-All the Fixings. I gave this card to my daughter's boyfriend for his birthday this weekend and he loved it.
This stamp and die set comes with six stamps  and
all the die cuts for the tools.
This set is on my wish list....hee hee

I had some peel-n-stick cork board we used as
a back ground for the tools.

I chipped off the edges of the cork board to make
it look old and aged.

Inside the card.
Hope you have a wonderful day! Happy Stamping.

Wedding Pictures

Hello. How is everyone today? You all asked for it so I am finally posting pictures of my son and daughter-in-law's wedding.  They were married in Telluride, CO.  It's so beautiful there!!! Unfortunately it did rain the day of the wedding but it was still a magically day.
James and Brittny along the river.

Wedding party in the middle of town.
The day of the wedding the women got ready in
one cabin while the men got ready in another.
Brittny purchased robes for all of the wedding party.
Her mom and I are in the black robes.

Here are the men out on their balcony. James is
the fourth from the left. His dad is on the left side
and his father-in-law on the right.

The Mayor of Telluride married them. He was a really
funny man.  My son Robert on the right was the best man.
It was so beautiful with the rain falling against the windows.

This is were the wedding ceremony was scheduled
to take place before the rain started. They
were able to take some pictures after the wedding up here.

The mountain views up here were unbelievable.

This is a picture of the two families joined as one.
Here is Brittny and her family.

First dance as husband and wife.
The dinner and dance was held at a
restaurant/bar that had a very rustic look to it.
The tables had different shape and sizes
of vases filled with white flowers and lots of
greenery.  It was so simple and elegant.

Thanks for asking me to share our special day with you. Have a great weekend!

Book of Butterflies

Happy Monday! Did you have a nice weekend.  My sister Renee was here from AZ for 7 days.  We spent a lot of time together and had so much fun.  I wish she didn't have to go back home but she will be back for Christmas...Yuppie!!

Today I am sharing a book I made using one 12x12 sheet of pattern paper.  I found the instructions on Pinterest at candycreates.blogspot.com.  I made this book for a friend of mine who loves Butterflies.
The book measures 3x3.  The paper I used is
from Heartfelt Creations.

I stamped and colored all the butterflies for the book.

All the sayings were printed on my computer.

Hope you try making this book.  You could do any theme, like a birthday wish book.  I will be posting pictures of my Son's wedding later this week so make sure to stop by.   Have a wonderful week.

Birthday Card

Hello! Hope your having a great day! Today's card was made for an aunt that lives out of state.  I had to use flat embellishments to make it mailable.
You can't tell from the photo but the pattern
paper is a beautiful combination of blues and greens.

I used an embossing folder on the bottom part of
the card and added lace and ribbon.

The happy birthday is a die cut and the butterfly
was made using a punch.

Inside of the card.
I appreciate you spending time with me today.  Hope you find some time for crating this weekend!
