Hola!!

How is everyone doing?  Wonderful I hope.  I made it a point to spend some time in my craft room last Sunday.  It was so nice to be back in there playing.  I was so excited I didn't even know where to start..hee hee.  I decided to make a card for my sister Renee who lives in AZ.  This stamp  reminds me of her....Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
I used Prismacolor markers on the left card (red hat) and
Prismacolor pencils on the right card. (pink hat).

Don't you just love this stamp.  She looks all sassy and
ready to have some fun! I think Renee has glasses
like that.....

Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Wedding Card

Happy Tuesday.  How was your weekend?  Did your first week of school go well? Today's card is a wedding card I made for my son and daughter-in-law's wedding.   I hope to have pictures of the wedding to share with you soon.
Using an embossing folder along with a heart die cut,
I ran both through the big shot to cutout and emboss
at the same time.  I wasn't sure if it would work but it did.

I attached the embossed CS over one of the
extra invites with Brittny and James' name.

The birds are cut using the SU bird punch.

Have a super great week!

Just For You

Hello! How is everyone doing today? Hope your having a super great day.  Today I am sharing a card design I saw on Splitcoaststampers.  The tutorial was by Beate Johns-Side Spring Card.  Maybe you've seen this card design already but it's new to me and I liked the shape of it.
The rectangle part of the card measures 4.5 x 3 so
it's a smaller than the average card.

This flower is made out of a "Sewing Pattern".
It's  like using tissue paper. I made it at a
flower making
workshop.

I stamped the "Just for You".

Inside of the card.

Here is a side view of the card.

The card is made by using a 5.5 x 8.5 piece of
cardstock scored and folded.
Thanks for stopping by today.  Enjoy your day!

Just A Note

Happy Friday!  Any plans for the weekend?  Have your kids started school already?  The month of August is the mad dash for school supplies, clothes etc.  I miss my kids being little but I don't miss the crazy trips to the store for school supplies.  I always call that aisle the "war zone".  It's just so crazy busy with parents and kids begging for the supplies they want or the frustration of not finding what you need. Best of luck to all you parents out there this school year.  Here are a couple of cards I made for my niece.  She is a music major so I used sheet music for the cards.

I ink distressed the music paper, crumbled it and ran it
through an embossing folder to make it look old.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you find time for crafting!

Cheater Cards

Happy Monday! Today's cards are what I call "Cheater Cards". They are note cards you add embellishments to and call them done.  They are usually quick and easy.  I made these note cards for a niece who is going off to college out of state this month.   We will miss her and wish her well!!!
The blank notes cards were purchased from Hobby Lobby.
I originally bought them for the use of the  envelopes.
I got 100 note cards and envelopes for only $5.00.

The stamp set is from Mama elephant. I used a
frame die cut to add to the note card.

The Cat embellishment is from Creatology-felt stickers in the
children's section at Hobby Lobby,  They make the cutest
embellishments.  Check them out next time your there.
The Hola is a wooden stamp from Stampabilities.

I needed the embellishment be mail  friendly so
no extra postage was needed. So all the embellishments
are pretty flat.

The flower part of these note cards are pre-printed.
I just added the bird and a couple of branches.

The bird was made using the SU Bird Punch.
I made a couple of music note cards for her without the "Cheater" note cards used here.  I will post them later this week.  Have a awesome week!

Wedding Invites

Good Morning! Hope all is well with you today. Today is a long posting.  Get your coffee ready.By the time I have shared this blog posting my Son will have married the love of his life.  I was delighted when they asked me to make their Wedding invitations.  I made different samples for my son and daughter-in-law to choose from. This is the design she choose because lets face it men really don't care about these kind of things...LOL  I used handmade paper from Michael's that I purchased mostly from the three different Michael's in  Arizona (AZ) while visiting my sister, luckily at 30% off. I also purchased the shimmer paper for the inside of the invitations in AZ at a paper warehouse.  It's just amazing how many paper craft stores AZ has.  The cost is soooooo much cheaper too.  I ran out of the shimmer paper and had to buy some here in Albuquerque. I was shocked for the same cost of the 100 sheets I purchased in AZ I only got 25 sheets here in Albuquerque. My daughter-in-law loved them as well as my son did.  That makes me happy!
The outside of the invitations is made with the
handmade paper from Michael's.  The bow is made
using the SU  bow builder punch.  My neighbor Heather
helped me attach all the bows! Thanks Heather!!

First flap on the left has an embossed bride and groom.

The middle has the announcement of the wedding
and the right side has card inserts for the reception,
accommodations and the RSVP card.

A close up of the embossed bride and groom.

My daughter-in- law Brittny searched Etsy and found
a lady who does graphic work. She sent the lady the
wedding details and what she wanted printed in the invites.
She received a PDF file and we printed them ourselves
on the beautiful shimmer paper.  It was wonderful.
The cost was only $20.00.  I would definitely use this
lady again.  Worth the money!

Sorry for the long post, thanks for letting me share! I will post some pictures of the wedding later this month.  Have a great day!
