Today's card is made using CTMH paper, a Sizzix embossing folder and a circle punch.
Using the embossing folder I embossed only 3/4 of the CS
leaving room at the bottom for the stamped sentiment.
It reads:  you don't stop laughing because you grow old
you grow old because you stop laughing

What a great saying don't you think?
 The stamp is from Rubbernecker.

The flower is made by punching out circles and folding the
bottom half to meet in the middle.  You then glue them
together to form the flower.

We can't stop from getting older but we can stop being old.  I hope today you have lots of laughter in your life. Have a GREAT day!!!!

Buttons, Buttons, Buttons

Happy Monday!!  Do you have lots of buttons laying around the house?  Maybe you have them tin containers or baggies. There are so many different kinds of crafts you can do with buttons beside sewing with them.  Today I am sharing a card I made using buttons on a tree.
I sprayed shimmer mist on this card.  I think if you click the picture
you should be able to see the shimmer.

After stamping the tree I used blue and green ink to add the
sky and grass.

I attached the buttons with CTMH liquid glass.

I saw this saying on Pinterst.
It had a bag of buttons with this saying attached to the top.
Hope your day is filled with colorful buttons and beautiful smiles.....

Last month at my TOPS (take off pounds sensibly) meeting we had a installation of new officers.  I was asked to make the decorations and of course I said yes.  The theme was "Hands".
I wrapped "Hand" sanitizers with colorful pattern paper.
Using colorful CS I cutout two hands for each member.
I then asked them to decorate and write how they felt the day they
joined TOPS and how they feel today.  It was FANTASTIC.  I am so bummed I didn't get any pictures of the hands.

I stamped the sentiment : God has given us two hands- one to
receive with and the other to give with.  The ladies loved them.

This is the table where the officers will receive their new positions.

These are the gifts I made for each officer.
I wrapped a calculator for the Treasure and

pens for the Weight Recorders.
You probably remember the journal and the
 post-it-notes from a previous posting.

Each officer also receives a charm so I decided to make these
covers for the charms.

This is the charm they received.
Thank you for stopping by today.  Enjoy the rest of your day!

Happy Wednesday!!!  Hope your having a super great day so far!  I'm sharing a card I made for my daughter's friend who is graduating from UNM in Albuquerque.
This was such a simple card to make. I used the school
colors red and silver, added the twine and the stamped
sentiment. The hat is a sticker.

I usually spend time on the weekends in my craft room. Last weekend was so busy I didn't go near my craft room.  My daughter graduated from college last December 2012.  She is walking the line next month.  I have decided to make all the decorations for the party.  So I have been busy punching, gluing, stamping etc.  I will post all my decorations when I am done.  This has left me with little time to create for my blog.  For the next two weeks I may miss a day or two of posting on my blog but I will be back in full swing as soon as the decorations are complete.  Have a awesome day!!

Today's card is a sympathy card. I have been told many times that my sympathy cards are to cheerful.  This one is not. Looking at it now it seems kind of dark and it has no cheerfulness to it....LOL

Using pattern paper with words on it, I stamped the leaves, birds
and the sentiment.  I then used brown inks to distress the card.

The stamp sets used here are from CTMH Flirty
Season & Nature and Words of Comfort.

Inside the card.
Sending you a day filled with smiles and sunshine.

Graduation Card

Happy Monday to you!  Today I am sharing the graduation card I made for my niece. I like incorporating the graduation announcement into the card I make.  That means I have to cut up the announcement and sometimes that is hard thing do.
This is my niece's graduation announcement.

I cut out the 2013, Class of  and the scripture.
I used the blue CS for the card itself.  The gray CS is
stamped with green leaves as a background.

Using foam adhesive I attached the cutouts to the card.

The graduation cap is a sticker I got at Michael's

Inside of the card

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you have a fantastic week!!

One of my nieces is graduating from High School this weekend.
I saw this idea on Pinterest and thought what a great way to package up a cash gift.
I used colored paper for the background and added
flowers and a few Scriptures.

I folded the dollar bills and laid the glass on
top before adding the wooden frame.

Hope you have a wonderful relaxing weekend.  Find some time for crafting....

Rosary Box

I made these card gift boxes for Easter last year. We have a baptism this weekend so I thought it would make a great gift box for a Rosary.  I am thinking of making them for Mother's Day.
The embossing folder on the white CS is small crosses.

I punched out two circles and added foam tape and a brad for the handle.

Inside of the card.

Inside the box I stamped the praying hands.

I added the Rosary inside the box.

This is a wall plaque for the baby's room.
I just love the saying.
Some days feel like we are under construction with detour signs and orange barrels all day...LOL   Hope your day is filled with wide roads and no detours...God Bless

Flowers & Burlap

A few weeks ago I took a flower class at the Hen House.  The instructor Kathy taught us to make each of the flowers shown here.  It was so much fun.  I put together a project using a couple of the flowers.  I have lots of pictures today so make sure you scroll all the way down to the last picture.
All these flowers were made using dies.  Of course
I really want to buy these dies....hee hee

These two brown flowers were my favorite.  The one on the left
was made of a brown paper bag and the one on the right was
made using a sewing pattern.  Next time I see a sewing
pattern at a garage sale I buying it. The pink flower was
made of pattern CS.

These flowers were made of felt.

The yellow flower with dots is made of  material with sticky
backing.  I really love the pattern on the  black and white ones.

These were the first flowers I made.  You had to roll them up to
create the rose like look.  As you can see I left a big whole in
the middle of the pink one. LOL  Kathy told me I can just add a
large bling in the middle.

I decided to use the brown flowers to decorate a candle.
These are them items I used.

I should have used a brown sugar candle instead of the red.

I used the inks and a sponge to add color to the printed paper.

I decide to add some burlap over the sponged CS.
The burlap was to plain so I  sponged it with some
brown  ink to give it some color.

My husband brought me some suit cases filled with material.
(Like I am going to sew...hee hee  I will use it on my crafts. )
(He was helping his brother clean out a house for a elderly  friend)
As you can see this burlap is VERY old. Do you remember the TG&Y's.
They were great dime stores back then. That had to be at least 30 or 40 years ago.
The Good O'l days.
 LOL

Since I don't buy material I don't know if this was a good price
compared to today.  I am sure it is.
Sorry for the long blog today but I hope it made you think of the Good O'l days.  Thank you for spending your precious time with me today

Brads

How many of you have placed an order with Oriental Trading?  It's been a long time since I have place an order with them.  I was looking for stuff for my son's wedding and was shocked to see all the wonderful crafting items they have. This is what I purchased.
These are cute brads for Father's day.

Neckties.

These tools are just adorable.
Each tool came with a brad that looks like a screw.
These are going to make a great tool box card.

I debated over to buy this foam tape.  Most of the reviews I read
loved the tape.  Some people claimed they were not as sticky
as the name brands. It was so darn cheap I just couldn't pass it up.
I have been using it for a few weeks now and so far it works as
good as the expensive ones.

This is the packet it comes in. I paid $1.42 a roll.  I hate to pay
shipping so I Googled coupons for Oriental Trading and found
a coupon  number for free shipping.  Yeah!!
Check them out and let me know what you think. Have a great day!
